It's just sad that the stadium got that loud for those hits in the 5th. It's the first World Series game in St. Pete since 2008 and they get out attended by a smaller market in Milwaukee.

This is just sad for anyone who was a pro baseball player, let alone a pitcher.

Tatis Jr. and even Erik Johnson must have been laughing

game over right there

If only Big Game's arm was that lively when he was here....oh well a guy can dream.

The 90-100 pound Kpop stars do a better job usually.

They at least practice hard so as to not embarrass themselves or at least look "cute and comedic."

The Rays will be getting a new stadium in Tampa in a few years. I wonder if the team will actually draw better there than what they have done in St. Pete.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Go ahead, throw whatever pitch you want. Jackson Chourio is ready to hit it.

The ludicrously talented Brewers leadoff man was front and center on Monday at Tropicana Field as Milwaukee made all kinds of history en route to a 10-1 rout of the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 of the World Series. Chourio's contribution to the Fall Classic record books: Still five months away from his 23rd birthday, he became the youngest player in 80 years to record four hits in a World Series game. Two of them came in a neverending fifth inning in which the Brewers scored eight runs, all with two outs — also a World Series record.

On Dec. 4, 2023, Milwaukee announced it had signed top prospect Jackson Chourio to an eight-year, $82 million extension that included two club options. It was the largest contract ever given to a player who hadn’t seen a major league field. In Game 3 of the World Series, the 22-year-old delivered a historic performance and helped put the franchise one win away from its first championship.

Chourio went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs and a stolen base Monday night, leading the way as the Brewers romped over the Rays 10–1. Chourio became the second-youngest player with four hits and a stolen base in a World Series game, trailing only Ty Cobb, who did it at 21 years and 299 days during Game 3 of the 1908 Fall Classic. He’s also the youngest player with a four-hit World Series game since Joe Garagiola in 1946 (Game 4).

This hasn’t been a one-game phenomenon. Chourio has dominated this World Series. He’s now 8-for-14 (.571) with three stolen bases and a 1.214 OPS. After three seasons, he’s delivering on baseball’s biggest stage at the most important moment in Brewers history.

Projecting the cost of a Brewers extension for new No. 1...

The Milwaukee Brewers are not strangers to signing their top prospects to long-term extensions, nor do they lack experience when it comes to locking in young sh

When you're hot, you're hot, when you're not, you're not. Milwaukee is, Tampa isn't.

Trust me, they will but by how much is the question. The Lightning and Bucs draw very well. in Tampa, most Rays fans that live in Tampa will not make the trip to St. Pete especially on weeknights.

I mean, Tampa WAS hot. They met a hotter team though lol

Can you imagine playing Milwaukee if we had made the WS? We'd have our heads handed to us

Gasser would be Sox top starter.

He's probably #3 or 4 for brewers.

We need quality starters.

So not only does MLB get Tampa and Milwaukee, but it might be a sweep? Serves the bastards right for the lockout.

I do not know the logistics for the current stadium but if you are not drawing for a World Series it is not a stadium issue

I have watched the Brewers while the Sox were losing nightly. I would have been fine having lost to the Brewers. Is there a better run organization in sports right now.

If you discount spending, there is literally no one better than Milwaukee and Tampa. Its the World Series we deserve, even if it isn't the one everyone wanted. No teams do more with less than these two.

I think we would be out of our minds with joy if we made it to the World Series this year. Of course nobody wants to lose but come on lol

That was such a weird flex. Like I'd rather not make it all versus lose? No way.
