March 10, 200422 yr As a big time White Sox and Frank Thomas fan,the reality exists that his Hall of Fame career will be short of a World Series championship or an apperance.The Sox will barely contend in the super weak central division,while powerful teams like Boston,New York Yankees,Anaheim,Seattle,Oakland are just way better ball clubs.With a ownership that is truly and fully not committed to winning,it is a shame that a great player like Thomas will not get a chance to live a dream to win a WS title along with White Sox fans.The only thing that is for sure is that Sox ownership will continue to raise prices,destroy their fan base even further,continue to tell lies,avoid truths that they really are way over their head and need to get out.

If you consider comments that essentially shrugged it off "pounding", then yes our collective disregard of his comments pounded him. Its just one of those things. On an internet message board you have to build your "internet identity". Those with a more established identity are afford the luxury of venting without being labelled a troll, because there is a documented history of posts to back up thier position as quality poster, not a troll. Think of it this way if you go to a bar a few times and start trouble, i.e. fight, rude to the help, not paying your tab, etc., each time you're there, they're not going to let you come back. If you come onto a message board and continually deliberately post s*** that will draw fire, you're not going to be around long either. As for us attacking new posters check out this thread, also from today, 22 responses all welcoming him. well my welcome may not have been the warmest but I told him about the site, so i get to "attack" him in the first post . welcome thread

March 11, 200422 yr Whether Frank will get a WS ring with the Sox or not is up to our young pitchers, right now that isn't very encouraging. A better question might be will Frank hit his 500th HR as a Sox? With two monster HR seasons he could pass it at the end of next yr, or he could come up just short. Therein lies the question, if he has say 495 HRs at the end of '05 do you pick up his option for '06? Do you decline the option and hope you get him at a reduced price? Or do you just cut ties and say thanks for the 495? I have a good idea which way KW would go if it was only up to him.

I was wondering the same thing. What makes him a troll? He comes in and states a fact that was well thought out. If I was received that well in the beginning I wouldn't have lasted very long.
