April 18, 200421 yr For the second straight day, a starter turned in a no-excuse, balls-out dominating performance. Watch and learn, Danny, watch and f***ing learn. SOX WIN!!!!!

April 18, 200421 yr Brando, you asked for seven innings and one run. Esty gave you nine innings, no runs.

April 18, 200421 yr Yeah, if he keeps pitching like this we will have one less issue to worry about. I love it.
April 18, 200421 yr After a game like this, that wifey of his better be a bit more forthcoming tonight. [/larry david] Then we better be getting Danny a girl, and fast.
April 18, 200421 yr Just think of how good our pitching is doing now and how much better they'll be once they stop walking everybody. WE NEED DAN WRIGHT TO PULL IT TOGETHER. s*** OR GET OFF THE POT.
April 18, 200421 yr i just dont think danny has the stuff to be a ML starter... He works really great out of the BP. i think we should pull a switch with him and cotts

He works really great out of the BP. i think we should pull a switch with him and cotts That's exactly what I think should happen, a switch-up of Danny Wright and Cotts. Give Cottsy a shot to start, damnit, he's earned it.

Don't get me wrong, I am not expecting miracles from Neal right now. But at least he has a bulldog mentality, and I'd rather Sox go down swinging than forfeit every time Wrong takes the mound. I'd rather have Danny at 3.00 ERA in long relief than at 6.00 ERA as starter. But that's just me.

April 18, 200421 yr I still think Danny should get atleast a couple more starts to prove he can get the job done. If not, it's time to see what we have in, Cotts.
April 19, 200421 yr After a game like this, that wifey of his better be a bit more forthcoming tonight. [/larry david] She's still a little tired from last year...
April 19, 200421 yr I can't remember when a Sox pitcher made it look so easy. I do. I saw Esteban do it last year...several times.
April 19, 200421 yr Don't get me wrong, I'm not totally disgusted with Danny Wright's performances thus far. He clearly hasn't had his best stuff in either of his starts, yet he's kept us in both of the games he's started. Isn't that all you can really ask for from your fifth guy, well, in our situation? My thinking, as well as many others, is that if you can get better production out of another player at that role, in this case the fifth starter role, than you make that switch. But it is a double bonus, as, if things go right, you can get better production our of both Cotts in the fifth starter spot, and Wright in the long relief spot. I feel a move like this actually makes our rotation AND our bullpen better, because, for some reason, Wright seems to pitch a lot better out of the bullpen than as a starter.
