But, finds out a few years later that due to a stats error he has less than 3,000 , so he has to get back into the league again to get his 3,000th hit.

July 9, 200421 yr oh hell..just about any baseball movie.. Not quite. I saw The Slugger's Wife a couple of weeks ago. Oh, that movie...... :puke Though a young Rebecca DeMornay wasn't bad. Little Big League was okay.
July 9, 200421 yr The Natural, which was on ESPN tonight, is a great movie, as are the Major League movies. Sandlot is pretty good too. I was on a Sandlot fix back in April when I watched it like 3 times in a week. The first time was on a road trip w/ my lacrosse team, but the other 2 times were just 'cause I wanted to.

July 9, 200421 yr What was that movie where the guy went to play baseball in Japan? Mr. Perfect or sumthin I think.
July 9, 200421 yr One of the most stupid ones was The Scout. Yeah right Brandan Fraser is gonna throw the nine innings on 90 pitches and K 27 That movie Sucked It's 81 pitches but who's counting. That is a pretty dumb movie, my favorite line in that movie is when one of the announcers are talking, he says something like if he(forgot brendan's characters name) pitches a perfect game like everyone expects him to. Anyways getting to good movies, I love field of dreams and eight men out is also very good.
July 9, 200421 yr A League of Their Own Damn Yankees Field Of Dreams The Lou Gehrig Story Major Leagues 8 Men Out
July 9, 200421 yr The Monty Stratton Story Long Gone Field of Dreams A little trivia about Field of Dreams: The scene where Costner meets the old Doc (Moonlight Graham) were shot in historic downtown Galena, Illiniois. Durnig filming breaks in Dyersville, Iowa, Costner would go to Galena to golf and loved the downtown area and told the director he wanted to use it in the movie. I've been there. It's absolutely beautiful! U.S. Grant was from there and his tomb is also there.
July 11, 200421 yr Check out "Bang the Drum Slowly" with Robert DeNiro...it's an awesome movie. The "Brian's Song" of baseball films.
