Where do you bat Everett?

Featured Replies

In the new batting order do you put Everett 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th... and why?

I'd say...

1) Uribe-2B

2) Rowand-CF

3) Ordonez-DH

4) Lee-LF

5) Everett-RF

6) Konerko-1B

7) Valentin-SS

8) Crede-3B

9) Burke-C

Harris

Rowand

Ordonez

Lee

Jose

Konerko

Everett

Crede

Whoever is catching

The reason I have Everett down in the lineup, is because I want to see him first get his bat rolling. Once that happens, I think him and Jose should be flip flopped. I want Willie starting everyday at the top of the order too.

When he was playing everyday he was a productive leadoff hitter, and the Sox have had crap since he was demoted (I think he got a raw deal).

1. Harris 2B

2. Rowand CF

3. Maggs RF

4. Lee LF

5. Everett DH

6. Kong 1B

7. Valentin SS

8. Uribe/Crede 3B

9. Davis/Alomar C

That's a pretty good lineup right there; except I'd probably have Everett and Jose switched right off the bat. No need to put any added pressure on Jose, he's performing very well right now where he's at.

So:

Harris

Rowand

Ordonez

Lee

Everett

Konerko

Valentin

Crede

Catcher

And if we do get Jason Kendall in the next week and a half, the whole complexion of our lineup changes, but that's for a different thread on a different day. ;)

thats a pretty good line up..though against left handed starters id switch everett and jose from the start..

id also consider batting rowand lead off...i know his lack of patience and low OBP compared to his BA doesnt make him anywhere near ideal but no one else is ideal either..at least he is stealing a few bases and hittinga few homers...nothing wrong with starting the game off with a dinger..maybe harris in the 2 spot might shake him up a bit too :huh

Rowand is exactly why I hit Aaron 2nd and Harris first. Hopefully with the hot Rowand hitting 2nd, Harris would get more pitches to hit and get on base more. Also with Harris's speed on base it would give Rowand more fastballs to hit, with the bonus of having Lee and Ordonez hitting behind them. I think that is the line up that will be the most consistant.

Here’s my lineup:

1.) Harris-2B

2.) Rowand-CF

3.) Ordonez-DH

4.) Lee-LF

5.) Everett-RF

6.) Konerko-1B

7.) Valentin-SS

8.) Crede-3B

9.) Catcher-C

Lee, Everett, and Kong are going to be the key players for a White Sox winner, IMO.

hasn't kong batted 5th most of the season? I might stick him there, where he's had some success.

I'd probably do this:

Versus RHP

Harris, 2B

Valentin, SS

Ordonez, RF

Lee, LF

Everett, DH

Konerko, 1B

Rowand, CF

Crede, 3B

Catcher Platoon

Versus LHP

Uribe, 2B

Rowand, CF

Ordonez, RF

Lee, LF

Konerko, 1B

Everett, DH

Valentin, SS

Crede, 3B

Catcher Platoon

Harris 2b

Rowand cf

Ordonez rf

Lee lf

Konerko 1b

Everett dh

Valentin ss

Crede 3b

Alomar c

Simple, easy, to the point.

Uribe needs to not start for at least 2 weeks and have Willie be playing every day.

2B-Harris

CF-Rowand

DH/RF-Ordonez

LF- Lee

DH/RF- Everett

1B- Konerko

SS-Valentin

3B-Crede

C-Davis/Alomar {With Burke off the major league roster}

I believe that is about the optimum lineup as soon as Carl is in the groove. I'd probably bat him lower (switch with Jose perhaps) until then.

I think the real question here is not where he will bat, but what number will he wear :D

We wore 27 when he first got traded then switched to 5, Burke took 27, and now Uribe has 5. I know Everett usually has the low numbers, 2 to be exact but he can't wear that in Chicago. Are there any single digit numbers available for the Jurassic one?

Tonight's lineup:

1. W. Harris 2b

2. J. Valentin ss

3. M. Ordonez rf

4. C. Lee lf

5. C. Everett dh

6. P. Konerko 1b

7. A. Rowand cf

8. J. Crede 3b

9. S. Alomar Jr. c

No Uribe, and Carl's batting 5th behind Carlos and in front of Paulie. Oh and Maggs is back in right field :) :headbang
