December 8, 200421 yr I don't know if this has been posted but I just saw it on SportsCenter's bottom line. Good luck Sandy, you're one of my favorite players and a very classy guy.
December 8, 200421 yr then come july you can probably garuantee that the sox trade for him...lol Wouldn't surprise me

December 8, 200421 yr I know we are joking but would it really stun anyone? We traded him for Pacheco and then still brought him back. I like Sandy too and hopefully the Rangers or teh Sox will give him a serious look at a coaching roster spot or a minor league manager bid.
December 8, 200421 yr What a classy man. Good luck Sandy! (even though I can see you coaching our team after Ozzie )
December 8, 200421 yr I'm disappointed that he still thinks he can play. I'm dismayed that someone else thinks he can still play... for Cleveland GM Jon Hart is running thinks down in Tejas now, so it's, as ozzie would say, "like a high school reunion"
December 8, 200421 yr I just heard the interview. They are looking for him to catch 50-60 games. If there #1 goes down, they will not be counting on Sandy for 120 games. I'll miss him. I always thought he gave 100%, was good to the organization, always fair, nice to fans. I cannot think of anything he failed to do as a good employee. I guess just being good to someone isn't enough to win loyalty in baseball. I guess I wil have to change my profile, Sandy was listed as my favorite Sox player.
December 8, 200421 yr hope he does well in texas. he is a good guy, who probably should be hanging up the cleats ...
December 9, 200421 yr I know I'D keep taking checks until no one gave them anymore.... Good Luck, Sandy Jr!!! See you on the coaching staff after they drag you off the field screaming!
December 9, 200421 yr Good lucky Sandy. Love the guy but I just knew for sure that homer he hit on opening day would be his last of the season. I think it was probably because he got hurt, but poor Sandy has no pop left in his bat.

It sure was fun. And you were dandy. When you could still run. In day games in Texas. I hope you do well. I wish you success-es. when it's hotter than hell. You always could please, And pinch-hit like a pip, When you still had two knees. And remembered to zip. Now its time to thank you, Not wish you a pox To bid you fond adieu. From the fans of the Sox. God bless Sandy Alomar Jr.
December 9, 200421 yr then come july you can probably garuantee that the sox trade for him...lol The question is how many prospects do we plan on giving up? Where is that Ozzie factor?

December 9, 200421 yr Being a Rangers fan too I wish they would not have done this in one hand (he's not playing well anymore) but to bring this young team along, I like this move. But I agree - Sandy as a bench coach in a Sox uni right after the Rangers would be kick ass.
