December 24, 200421 yr I think he will be in the more than 10, but less than 15 range. Edit: Whoops sorry for not seeing the other thread... Edited December 24, 200421 yr by MinnesotaSoxFan
December 24, 200421 yr 16 wins for Jon this year, as he learns to avoid that big inning against. As you can see there's 2 votes for that amount; I think he'll finish with 16 too. I don't think he'll feel as much pressure in the rotation.
December 24, 200421 yr I think as long as Garland is at the end of the rotation, 4th or 5th. He has a good chance to win 15 games....
December 24, 200421 yr Three words: Not good enough. What I would really like to know is who voted for more than 20....
December 24, 200421 yr 10 to 15. Until he proves he's not a mental midget I have to go with this number. I have no problem with Jon and he's actually an above average pitcher, I love having him as our 5th starter but I just don't see him winning more then 15 as of right now, I hope he proves me wrong. Either way having 12, 13, 14 wins out of the 5 hole is absolutely fantastic.
December 24, 200421 yr hes gonna be at the bottom of the rotation where most guys get about ten wins so i went with ten buehrle garcia and duque will take most of the wins
December 24, 200421 yr I'm still holding hope for Garland. I think he can become a 15 game winner, hopefully this year. But 10-15 seems more logical.
December 24, 200421 yr I think he will be in the more than 10, but less than 15 range. Edit: Whoops sorry for not seeing the other thread... 25+ wins?!? That's one hell of a poll choice considering that I dont think anyone's done that since Either Bob Welch or Dave Stewart did in the late 80's.
December 24, 200421 yr Plus if any of the Sox pitchers were to win 25 games it sure as hell wouldn't be Garland...
December 24, 200421 yr I think Jon will get 15 exactly. At times I'm sure he'll look like this on the mound as far as pitching.. :puke And I'm sure in some starts he'll look like this.. But I think he'll be better this year.
December 26, 200421 yr Worse Case Scenario: Same 12 games won. Best Case Scenario: 15-18 games won. I don't see how 12 wins is a worst case scenario when that's the most he's ever had and our offense figures to not score quite as many runs. That said, I'd gladly take 12 wins from Jon. I just hope he doesn't regress (if that's possible) and win 8 or 9. 25+? :rolly

That said, I'd gladly take 12 wins from Jon. I just hope he doesn't regress (if that's possible) and win 8 or 9. 25+? :rolly The thing about it is he's done it three years straight. Honestly I can't see him regressing. I think he's hit his bottom and he can only get better from here.
December 26, 200421 yr 25+ wins?!? That's one hell of a poll choice considering that I dont think anyone's done that since Either Bob Welch or Dave Stewart did in the late 80's. Bob Welch was the Last to Win over 25 when he won 27 in 1990. Who ever said 25 or more needs to lay off the kool - aid
December 26, 200421 yr Who ever said 25 or more needs to lay off the kool - aid ... and the weed. Maybe if Jon would take that advice, he could actually become something in the majors instead of being an underachiever his whole career.
