Top 5 Movies of 2004

Featured Replies

I didn't see one of these threads yet, so here you go....Here's my list -- You post yours

1) Sideways

2) The Incredibles

3) Eternal Sunshine (was that this year?)

4) Friday Night Lights

5) Closer

Honorable Mention -- The Life Aquatic -- OK i didn't see it yet, but I'm pretty damn sure it would make the top 5.

Worst movie I saw this year -- Blade Trinity -- The only reason I saw it was because I was killing time one day hopping from theater to theater... When I was looking for a movie that started right after the one I had just left, I decided I would just follow somebody who just got their popcorn and stuff from the lobby to their theater. I picked these two fat guys who looked like they lived in mom's basement. Wrong decision.

I'm gonna buy Garden State on DVD -- I missed it at the theatres, but as soon as the christmas season craziness dies down, I'll use some of my gift cards to buy that one.

4. The Life Aquatic

5. Closer

1. Spiderman 2

4. The Machinist, Bale can play anything! Was lucky to catch it down in St. Louis. Think it was the St. Louis film festival or something.

5. The Aviator, just saw it yesterday and loved it. 3 hours long and didn't check my watch once. Scorsese bias here.

This could be edited when I see Million Dollar Baby...sometime. Not really near me at all.

Probably some of the best dialogue in any film this year.

Damn, I guess I'm one of the few people here who like stupid funny s***, because that movie had me rolling the whole time.

"Sir, you have a massive erection"

"No, its just an optical illusion with the pleats in the pants...im taking them back to the...pants...store."

I loved Anchorman. I'd add it to my list; I forgot about it.

To each his own, all I know is I saw that movie twice in the past week and I was constantly cracking up both times.

Also, the different news channels fight scene was great.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that too. I thought it was just a standard chick flick.

wheres Napoleon Dynamite?!

Oh man that movie was so f***ing stupid.

But as usual the stupid s*** at me cracking up.

First time I watched it, it was really late and I was tired as hell and it bored the s*** outta me.

I watched again when I was more awake and it was histerical.

"So Napoleon, what did you do all summer?"

"I already told you, I went hunter wolverines with my uncle!"

"Did you kill any?"

"Yeah like fifty, you would too if they were attacking your cousing!"

"What did you use?"

"A fricken twelve gauge, whatdaya think!"

KIP: You're just jealous because i've been chatting with hot babes all day.

but my brother made me watch it with him again, it's starting to grow on me.

Napoleon Dynamite: Grandma just called and said you're supposed to go home.

Uncle Rico: She didn't tell me anything.

Napoleon Dynamite: Too bad, she said she doesn't want you here when she gets back because you've been ruining everybody's lives and eating all our steak.

Haha, I guess it's one of those movies where the things are funnier the more you see them.

"So Napoleon what are you going to do today?"

"Whatever I feel like doing GOSH!"

"Napoleon, can I have some of your tots?"

"NO! Get your own tots"

"Come on, just give me some of yours."

"NO! I'm hungry and I haven't eaten all day!"

Yeah I watched it for the first time Thursday night and then watched it again yesterday afternoon. It was really funny.

Anchorman sucked. I laughed about 3 times, it was really disappointing.

My list of favorites would have to be...(drumroll please)

- Meet the Fockers

- Napoleon Dynamite

- Shrek 2

- The Girl Next Door

Damn, Anchorman is probably a top 5 funniest movie ever in my book.
