Cubs rip-off Sox bracelet idea

Featured Replies

Doesn't bother me... Everyone is ripping off Lance Armstrong anyway.

Ohhh well it isnt like we didnt copy a million other colleges/businesses/organizations with this either..all is well if it is going to a good cause..but the cubs still suck :P

Ya, but everybody stole it from the original breast cancer wrist bands which includes lance Armstrong, who did not come up with the idea.

The sox ripped off livestrong...as did everyone else.

I echo everyone else. As long as it's for a good cause, good for them.

yeah, but the Sox were classy enough to mention "charity" on their wristband, and I believe the Cubs just have "believe" and the Cubs logo on it... it's always about them!

Live Strong ripped off Breast Cancer awareness, they had pink wrist bands a while back, I don't think there was any before that.

My mom sent a complaint about this that they didn't advertise this for soxfest on the news (ABC 7)

I dont think they mentioned it on tv at all. They mentioned it on The Score though.

A succinct and eloquent response.

I heard they are giving them to their own scalpers who then go out on the street and sell them for 20$. The whole "for a good cause" thing is kind of lost.

Believe, BWAHAHAHA. Uh yeah, believe you're stuck with Shammy folks. ;)

"Cubs rip-off Sox bracelet idea???"

Classic.

That's probably right. Some guy is going to buy them all up and try to sell them for 1050% the original price.

More than likely, yes.

Not sure when the breast cancer ones came out but I do remember Nike coming out with ones like "Team" and "Baller" around August of 03.

My High School colors were blue and gold, maybe I'll wear both.

You would've loved my high school. Our main color was green.

Maybe they could make one for less fortunate Cub fans that say:

"Can't even afford the roof across the street."

If it wasn't from the Cubs, I'd probably want one, I like that color of blue.

OMG, they just talked about the cubs bracelets on sportscenter :puke
