January 25, 200521 yr Joe Borchard was destined for Charlotte long before the signing of Iguchi. The Sox have at least 6 guys who can play OF (Dye, Pod, Everett, Gload, Perez, Rowand) without even counting Willie Harris in that list. Joe B will be the starting RF for the Knights.

Trade Timo for whatever prospect they could get and save the team 600,000. Bring in Larkin or another infielder capable of backing up Short. Willie has more upside than Timo. Unless there is a skeleton in Willie's closet that we are not aware of, that's what I'd do with him. I can't blame KW for signing Timo and Ben Davis at the time. He didn't know then that AJ and Iguchi would be on the team. Now, I think Willie and Burke are cheaper and more versatile alternatives.
