It's not suddenly a problem. It's been an issue, that frankly, has been left unaddressed too long.

We've tried to leave things very open, and we will try to continue this as much as possible, because we want you all to be able to express yourself accordingly.

But I am prefacing that things might need to be tightened in this regard.

Relax... we're not trying to become signature/av jerks, but at the same time, this has been an ongoing issue for a long time now and we will start responding if we need to.

The big issue is a lot of people post from work and I understand they can turn off avatars and such, but at the same time many don't and its the issue of someone looking bad or getting in trouble at work. We don't ever want it to come to that.

Hell, I've had girls on my avatar many a time and I know we have had the Hot Chick Contest...the thing is, we also don't need just random general pics of girls getting slammed. I have no problem with people posting different stuff and having things in there avs, at the same time, just be respectful of that person whose at work or surfing the net with there kid.

Basically I'm saying pics where you basically see everything but dont'...well thats not cool. I mean really its rarely a judgement call and if you have doubts ask one of us or simply don't post it.

It has nothing to do with me or any of the admins/mods having an ego. Its something we've often times have had commented or PM'd to us and its just something were considering.

The best thing though is for everyone to monitor themselves and if they think it may be over the line...don't post it or ask us and we'll tell you. Also remember there are women who also post on this site and they are entitled to not having to see stuff they don't want to.

The way I see it, if your looking for porn...go to some other site, this is the place to talk Sox and a hell of a lot of other things. By all means talk about this actress being hot but put up a link to some photos you think are hot (not nude photos) and simply put a warning for people that are at there work. That way those who want to can see and those who don't don't have to.

qwerty, it's cool.

I think the "general" guideline should be if someone is going to get in trouble to view things at work, then it shouldn't be posted.

If it's in that line, you've got no problem. I'd say 85%-90% of the time it's not a problem.

Thanks for understanding.

I see the moralist are at it again eh?? Because if I'm not mistaken this is the same board that holds the "Hot Chic" contest all the time... yet these are bad huh?  :huh

No T or A allowed in any case. That's the rule in hot chick contest. Without knowing what you had, if it had T or A it has to go down.

I don't think this is morally based. The reason that the Hot chick contest is allowed to stay is because people know exactly what they are going to get and if they are at work they should know better then to enter those threads. If there is T and A in the avatars or sigs, unless people turn them off completely they can't really do anything about it. It has more to do with respect and making Soxtalk work friendly.
