Glad to see Joe Borchard to good, but Orlando Hernandez is starting to worry me, I hope he plays gets off to a good this regular season.

Leading off the second inning of Monday's second White Sox intrasquad game at Tucson Electric Park, Willie Harris dropped down a perfect bunt for a base hit. He immediately swiped second base and moved to third on a fly ball to Joe Borchard in right.

Defensively, Aceves also survived a collision at the plate with Jerry Owens, stopping short the would-be run in the fourth inning.

I've never been really happy about us getting El Duque but isn't he notoriously bad at pitching to his own teammates?

 

Excuse me if I'm wrong but I thought I saw that written somewhere.

Don't give a any thought to a pitcher being ineffective in Arizona ... especialyy a pitcher that has never experienced ST there before. Hernandez is a veteran and knows what the hell he's doing. It don't mean a damn thing until April.

I wouldn't count out Willie yet. He's gonna be a good major leaguer.

As of right now, Contreras is not above average, and Garland is about right at average.

Contreras' stuff is unquestionably above average, though... Garland... well, some here talk about his great stuff. If he ever finds real command of his curveball then yeah he's above average. Right now though, he's just "even steven".
