Just got back from the game.

Really poor night at the plate for Konerko. He really did a poor job up there. Did I hear that right on the radio? 16 runners stranded? Ick.

Oh, and Timo Perez still sucks.

Oh -- and me, Brian (IlliniKrush), and Steve (soxnbears) were all calling for Ross Gload. So it was first-guessing.

I did, however, get a great round of booing in on Timo's last AB. Felt good to get it out of my system.

If Willie Harris had struck out like that, there'd have been at least five threads wanting Harris to be sent to Charlotte. Funny how that works...

Haha yeah you're right on.

Willie looked pretty rock solid at short tonight.

Yeah -- he doesn't have the arm to play the position everyday, but he's got the range. I still don't see why Perez should be on this team when Frank comes back. He serves no purpose...

Got back from the game a little bit ago. However bad they looked on TV, it was worse in person. I don't think there was a single extra base hit.

However, the worst moment tonight came off the field. While I was walking up the ramps about an hour before the game, there were some guys ahead of us. One of them started pissing over the railing onto the ground (and possibly people, I don't know what) below. Disgusting and childish.

Dye had a double.

yeah but his double was almost an out, Also that play he slid to make a catch.... looking at it, it seems he could of made it standing up, but no he had to go and ruin the grass

Bah, you're right. Still...it was ugly.

just got back from the game and i am ticked off at them they could have won that game Shingo sucks

Ok, there are really 2 things pissing me off right now about this team. 1: Shingo Takatsu's control.

What the Hell happened to Shingo? He has all of his pitches. He struck Irod out on an 9 mph fastball that totally blew Irod's mind. His changing of speeds is still there. But every single damned batter he starts off with a pitch that's at their ankles. If he gets that ball up another 2 inches he'll be unbeatable. But he just can't get that ball to rise on him.

Secondly...what the Hell happened to small ball? We had so many freaking guys on base leading off innings and we never moved them over once! I mean, I know A.J. is hurt, so its hard to hit and run with him, but this game was just pathetic! We didn't do all of the th ings that have been winning games for us; getting people on base, bunting and putting pressure on the defense, using the hit & run to open up holes in the defense, having people take off, and so on. The only thing we did to put pressure on the defense...Iguchi taking off in the 8th...actually worked! Irod threw the ball away!

I know our guys are hurting...but it seemed to me like Ozzie was trying more to avoid hurting anyone else than win the game.

The small ball question. I was wondering that also. For example, after we tied up the game in the ninth and had Iguchi at third with one out, why didn't we try and squeeze him home? Ozzie called that play quite a lot in spring training, but I haven't heard of a squeeze attempt since the season started.

I know I may have missed, or could be forgetting an instance, but with Timo up, Iguchi on 3rd and one out, I thought that would be a good time to give it a try.

Just got back from the game.

Crowd was pretty energetic for its size.

It was cold, but not really uncomfortable.

Steff came out of nowhere and hooked us up with amazing seats.

Another Thanks to her

TOo bad i have the black plague and can't even talk now. Time for some nyquill.

Just got back to Champaign from the game.

Why does Ozzie believe that Timo > Gload?

Also, he left contreras in way too long, and we called this when he started the inning that he should have been out.

Oh yeah, and Steff came up clutch :notworthy

That fat f*** that was almost directly behind home plate and kept getting up, tapping his head and was on his cell phone constantly. He was mostly screaming s*** when the sox where pitching and this guy had a sox jacket on. What a dumbass fool.
