Get well soon Hawk, you'll be missed for these games. I think Carm should fill in he was outstanding during spring training and deserves another opportunity imo.

I hope it's Beltin' Bill. I always liked Melton and he worked well with DJ during that one game spring training game. DJ actually did much better with Melton as the color man.

Anyway, get well soon, Hawk!

I dont think Reinsdorf likes him too much after the ESPN 1000 incident.

Get well soon Hawk. We'll miss you these few days. I wonder who is going to replace him for these games.

Good point, I forgot about that. That being said I still hope it's carm :P , like I said he was outstanding in ST.

WOW. I had the same surgery in November and it SUX.......well the recovery does. I have a scleral buckle in place, he is having a vitrectomy.

Anyone know Hawk's e mail address?

That's too bad...let's hope for a speedy and full recovery.

Get well soon Hawk. Always the voice of this team.

Frank Thomas should come up to the booth and do it since he is injured anyways :headbang :headbang :headbang

In all seriousness i hope Hawk a speedy and healthy recovery.

Trib article is now saying that former Sox reliever Donn Pall will fill in for the first two games.

How bout they let the SnR crew call the game.

Now that'd draw some viewers.

Yeah he did, dont mind seeing old 23 again in the booth. How about Carmen Defalco, he did a great job during spring training.

Just remebering Steve Stone's Mock of Hawk last year ("HE GONE") pisses me off......if he replaced him for the few days thats when I turn on mute and turn up the radio.....

GET WELL SOON HAWK!

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't move Rooney to the TV broadcasts, Bryan Dolgin to replace him on the radio PBP (since he did PBP for the Jackhammers), & bring in Carmen DeFalco to do pre/post.

Who was paying Stone's salary last year? Did it piss you off when Valentin mocked Sosa in the dugout?

That actually would be a great move. Rooney does a ton of TV stuff in the off-season and is a natural at it. Then we could move Defalco into the radio booth for a few games.

Contractual matters may make that kind of move easier said than done.

Am I the only one that thinks Mr. Jay Mariotti would be perfect?

I am sure Jay agrees with you... Unless my theory is true and you are in fact one Jay Mariotti...
