That's a poor excuse. Rowand and Pods should have both made those plays, or at least showed some effort. No excuses. Put Timo and Everett in left and center for the 9th.

 

The thing is if either of them dives and the ball gets past them, its over. You have to make sure that you have a play 100% if you are going to dive, otherwise you hurt the team more than if you play it on a hop.

 

If you want an example, ask Corey Patterson.

What was said about this teams success about their strong bullpen has become very unbelieveable, we only have a few reliable guys down there and since we do play lots of one run games, were f***ed unless we get some help fast.
