It's hard to tell on tv if he had a shot at that or not but he's not a good right fielder, his arm overshadows his defensive ineffectiveness.

Yet Jeckle would still say it's the wrong move.  Even I would rather have seen Timo in that situation on Sunday than whoever he ph for.

Vlad has terrible range in the outfield. He lumbers when he runs, and if it wasn't for his great arm, the Angels would probably use him as their DH. Vlad typically makes about 10 errors per year in the outfield.
