July 19, 200520 yr If the Sox can start the 2nd half like they started the 1st half the they could very well win the division by 20 games.
July 19, 200520 yr Got home from work. I left it was still 4-1. Then I turned on the TV, I saw Uribe's HR. Great atmosphere out there at the park. Good to see Twins lose again.
July 19, 200520 yr To anyone who got to watch on WCIU: Farmer said Hawk caught the ball Crede fouled off just before the homer. Is that true? Edit: Eat s*** tiggers!!!!!!!!! Edited July 19, 200520 yr by needauribe
July 19, 200520 yr QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) oh, he was sitting on it. if that pitch had been outside he would have looked like a fool. A lot of players will mess up a pitch if they call what's coming. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I find it interesting your talking about the Pudge HR... That is exactly what Big Frank did too... Sat on the splitter, waited for it... and just crushed it!
July 19, 200520 yr By the way I just wanted to give Props to El Duque... He gave us 6 innings... he had some problems in the 5th but otherwise a very solid start in his first game back from the DL...

July 19, 200520 yr I live in MI, am a huge Sox fan, and I despise the tigers. 8 of 9 so far, YES! Edited July 19, 200520 yr by brijames
July 19, 200520 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) I didn't read the whole thread, anyone know why Politte closed tonight? Dustin's back has been bothering him so Ozzie probably just gave him the day off. Edited July 19, 200520 yr by Rowand44
July 19, 200520 yr I just had a feeling Crede was going to launch a bomb. I just had a feeling. Still the only team in baseball NOT to lose 30 games. 32 games over .500 13 games in 1st. Am I dreaming? Welcome back Duque
July 19, 200520 yr QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Am I dreaming? You're dreaming because we're 33 games over .500 not 32. Edited July 19, 200520 yr by Rowand44

July 19, 200520 yr QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) geez, everyone talks about how disappointing the yankees have been this year, but how about the red sox? neither of these teams are 10 games above .500. if the orioles were halfway decent (though thank you for beating the twins) they could have run away with this. Red Sox suck Yankees suck. Well the Orioles have been very injury plagued, Roberts has missed a couple weeks, Sosa a couple months and has sucked, whole OF has been injured(remember they had the rookie from high A playing against us) and than Bedard their best pitcher been injured and Javy Lopez... Bedard just came back and Lopez isnt 2 far away I think so they might take it. Im rooting for the Orioles if for nothing else means one of the red sox or yanks for sure wont make it.
July 19, 200520 yr Lets look for The Count of 3 and 2 to go out there and get back to back quality starts for us. He looked VERY sharp last time out, lets give him more than 1 run this time though PLEASE!!
July 19, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) You're dreaming because we're 33 games over .500 not 32. Having visions of tomorrow night, that's all.
July 19, 200520 yr I haven't read all 4 pages of this thread, but Crede's pose after the 3 run bomb was AWESOME. I hope we see a lot of posters come from that and it WILL be part of the '05 highlight reel. I haven't been that pumped in a long time. Thx Joe!!
July 19, 200520 yr I tivoed this game. That Crede home run was probably one of the top three moments of the season. As soon as he hit it, you could hear the crowd and people up and down the street yelling. It was awesome!!!
