That's one helluva basehit by Tejada. That ball was below the knees and on the black of the outside corner.

 

He might just be the best overall player in baseball. Overall... Shortstops who can field like him, and hit with such power -- those are hard to come by.

 

WHarris -- do you, by chance, have Ken Griffey's contract breakdown?

Yeah....

 

9-Year worth 116.5M- he will make between 2000 and 2008 a salary of 12.5M each year- + in 2000, 5.5M of salary deferred till 2009- + deal includes 2009 Team Option or a 4M buyout- + 6.5M of 2001-2009 salaries deferred to subsequent years between 2009 and 2024

Thanks. I'm starting to get on board a little bit with getting Griffey. Let him DH for most of the year, then next year, move him to RF, with Dye to first. So long as Cincy eats a good portion of the contract.

 

Of course, they could also just go and get Adam Dunn. One of the two would make me happy. I really, up until a few days ago, didn't realize just how good a season he was having -- .902 OPS? Damn...
