This is exactly the kind of game KW built the bullpen for. Unless the Sox put a couple runs on the board in the top half of this inning, he should go to the pen in the bottom of the eighth.

I see no reason to not at least let him pitch to Womack...and maybe Jeter if Womack doesn't get on. He's only thrown 96 pitches.

It's Jose's game to win. I would let Jose pitch the 8th and Hermanson the 9th. I just don't trust Marte right now. At the sight of him warming up, I kinda feel chill!

Felix hasn't been good this year and with Embree warming up, real good chance for the Sox here.

By the way...7 shutout innings against this Yankee Lineup, on 96 pitches, with only 2 walks, 1 HBP, and 2 hits? That is freaking incredible Jose.

I'd like to see Cotts start the 8th with 2 out of 3 lefties up in the 8th. He had no problem with that part of the lineup last night. If it gets to Sheffield, then Politte can come in to face him.

If we can put 1-3 runs on the board this inning, there will probably be more of a willingness to let him continue.
