Well its nice to see that we are beating the crap out of a crappy team.

OH Wait we are hanging on a thread because our guys cant hit with men in scoring position.

Yeah, heaven forbid we only beat a team we are 11-2 against by 1...

We beat em by 3 walks and a wild pitch, IIRC.

No its not. Uribe swung at the first pitch the time before and got a triple. Almost a HR. Just not getting the right hits at the right spots tonight. It happens.

Its the royals, you are expected to beat this team into the dirt night in and night out. Their pitching is terrible. You are not supposed to be dangling a 1-0 lead going into later innings with Mike Wood pitching.

No walks to this guy Jose!

Blanco's handing out souveniers...

OOPS Hawk.

Wow, good job Hawk! Does this mean Sweeney is homering now? Is it the jinx?

ground out to 3rd.

2 down.

Sweeney kills us in these situations.

What a great job of pitching by Jose. That AB tells a lot. In the past Jose would have walked Blanco after the AB he had, and it woulda been bad with Sweeney on deck. Now he stays aggressive and gets him out.

Couldn't agree more. It's similar to what Cotts has done all season.

The Sox usually don't score a whole lot of runs when the Count is on the hill.

Yes he does, but looks like Jose has got his # tonite

Whew, two straight cookies. Make a good pitch Jose!

HE GAWN

I LOVE JOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great pitch there! Will Ozzie pull Contreras, or will he let him continue? It's a tough call.

K!!!

Great job by the Count. Personally I think its time for the bullpen.

Sweeney Ks.

NICE JOB JOSE!

Clutch!

At least 1 more inning. Only 93 pitches. Retired 10 out of the last 12 batters I believe. Gotta stay in.

93 pitches or so? I want contreras to either win this game or lose this game himself. If he looks shaky the first batter ( walk or hit right away) take him out.

Clutch!

Contreras has made some very good pitches in critical situations tonight.
