How has Kazmir been pitching lately?  I haven't paid much attention to him since the early part of the season.

He had one great start vs the Indians, and one horrific start. Tonight is the best chance the DRays have for a win.

There ain't nothing miraculous about it.  This kid can pitch.  He should have beaten the Tigers earlier this year in a game that he came out of...and that was before he found his missing changeup.

If Brandon is on...these guys are toast.

I wonder if that toast would require us getting out of any jams.....hmmmm :bang

I just hope that if McCarthy doesn't have a superhuman game, that people don't start bashing him. He's been pitching tremendous lately, but it's not realistic to expect another 7-0 or 8-1 out of him. We need to start scoring 5 runs each game.

Especially against Tigers pitching...we should be doing so.

If anyone starts bashing Brandon...I'm gonna sit here and point at those games with Texas, Boston, and Minnesota, then cover my ears and start yelling loudly in order to not listen to the response. This is one case I'm gonna be damn stubborn. This kid is going to be great.

And I have a real good feeling about the kid going tonight.

The Red Sox look to be jumping all over the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays have a pretty weak lineup for the first game also. One more Red Sox and Yankees lose before this weekend would be HUGE.

Scott Kazmir's September Total:

2-0 1.75 4G 25.2IP 19H 6R 5ER 12BB 27K

must win game for the sox.

2-0 Red Sox in the 2nd. Do these teams ever lose?

For the next few days, I would do a 4 team parlay with the Sox to lose, and the other three teams to win.

2-0 Red Sox in the bottom of the 3rd.

2-1 Boston in the top of the 5th. The Blue Jays lineup resembles the Twins lineup we faced on Sunday.

3-1 Red Sox in the 6th. Ortiz has 142 RBI, and Manny has 136.

That's a nice comparision of apples and nuclear bombs...

Amazing how every time Ortiz or Manny come with runners on, they get the job done!!!

1st and 3rd with one out and they blow it. It kind of reminds me of our offense.

HIllenbrand has 3ks. Maybe he iis helping old friends.

Its also nice to have $25 million to spend on only two players, and then watch your pitching staff go to s***.

Well Game 1 is over...

Boston 3

Toronto 1

Red Sox PACKED the House for a 1pm Eastern game!!! SOLD OUT AND THEY ARE ALL THERE!!!

They also won a world series last year...have no competition for fans in that area...and have a ballpark that probably already counts as a historic landmark.

You can't expect these teams to lose. They are playing mediocre teams, and expect to win. The White Sox are in the same boat, unfortunately they gave one away last night, and better show up with some intensity and purpose tonight, or it will happen again.
