Well, we're losing. We keep trying to play smallball, and the Tigers are just playing long ball. Pena should always be thrown a fork ball when he has two strikes.

remember after sunday's game when everyone felt good about this team again?

yeah, me neither.

what's incredible about it? we are 2 innings in and it's a 1-0 game. Happens every night.

All but 1 of the Tigers runs this series have come via the HR.

This is just incredible.

There are always hard hit balls that are caught during a game. You have to overcome that, and just keep plugging away.

this is coming down to the last game.

hate to say it.

don't like to believe it.

but can't avoid it.

we've all seen instances of guys not coming through.

that's not what we saw in the top of the second.

that was just hitting in bad luck

I agree, anyone who calls our top of the 2nd inning corpseball doesn't know what corpseball is.

You mean you can't put your tail between your legs and cry?

Hmmm, I'm thinking I might need to find something else to do tonight instead of watching this again. But I know I will be glued to the TV for all damn 9 innings.

We haven't done very well playing longball either.

agreed.

i don't think anyone is complaining about our guy's lack of hitting, it was just the utter complete awful luck that inning to add ontop of everything.

This website will reak the depths of hell if the Sox do not make the playoffs. Just thinking about it makes me get a headache. But if we do win the division, the slurpage will be excessive...

The Sox have to lead the league in ridiculous bunts this season. Face it while we feel sorry for ourselves with Uribes near homer, if Trammell has Pena at first, that horrible bunt by Everett is a DP.

it's great to see that the sox are in playoff form the last week.  cause just like in the playoffs they tighten up with men on base and can't score runs.

The personnel is completely different from that of any of our previous playoff teams. We have only one guy left from the 2000 lineup. There is nobody left from the 1993 lineup.

But I suppose that if the Bills were to reach the Super Bowl this year, you'd say that they'd choke. After all, look what happened back in the early 90s. :bang

Tonight I'm predicting we're down 2 going into the 9th. We're up. Konerko and Dye on the corners with 2 outs and Ozuna is coming up. Just before he takes a pitch...wait a second...what's that... they're playing Joe Crede's music!!! The Rally Crede comes out. Somebody here is posting We Need a Hero every other post and Crede goes yard.

Sox Win.

They just crushed two balls with RISP. AJs ball was hit hard too. wtf do you want them to do exactly. We need to catch a break.

catch a break? what kind of dumbass statement is that?!? we need to EXECUTE not rely on luck.

That's why the bunt is such a freaking beautiful play...it forces the defense to do everthing right. Surprisingly often, they can't.

Good job so far tonight by Pods.

Well, I can't argue with that line of thinking.

Wow.
