Classy Frank...

Featured Replies

As the Sox arrived at their hotel in Cleveland, none other than Frank Thomas was there to greet and congratulate every one of his teammates with a party favor hanging out of his mouth as they got off the team busses. He flew in to celebrate Thursday night with the boys!!! Way to go Frank, Im sure this gesture will go a long way with your teammates!!!

This is one thing that is sad about all of this. I really wish Frank would have been more a part of this.

That is quite awesome. What was the party favor? A cigar?

I could. I don't want to do it anytime soon though. Remind me sometime in the offseason.

Frank brought with him 20 bottles of $100+ champaign!!!

What a midseason boost Frank was... 12 homers, 26 knocked in, 16 BBs, a .905 OPS.

Would be real nice right now to not have a problem in the three spot, and have #35 right there -- but that doesn't take away from how much he helped this team in his short time.

Thanks, Frank. :headbang

i'd love to see frank in the dugout on tuesday.

this would be so much more amazing with frank

You made my night posting this.

Yeah his avg. was on the low side but man just seeing him in the lineup made you feel more comfortable. He is such a giant compared to the other players its crazy. I wish I wated the sox more in the 90's when he was at his best but I still will have many memories of 35.

In his Prime he was the best hitter in baseball, every time he came up, you knew he would drive em in or get on base!!!

Ya know...I was gonna start a thread when I got home (thought of this at my son's little league game tonight)....but was wondering amidst all the celebration...just how Frank was feeling about all of this. You know he's happy for his teammates....but it has to just tear his guts out not being a part of it. Almost makes you wonder if he tried to come back too soon. The guy given his all to this franchise...and it's a shame he's not a bigger part of it. Here's hoping he's back next year for a second consecutive division championship by the Sox.

i would give anything to see him back here next year. and i hope beyond hope that KW, JR and Ozzie realize that the ENTIRE fanbase (save a couple) want that too.

we gotta win this for the big man!

oh and i cant help but dream about this scenario: 2 outs, bottom of the 9th, game 7 of the world series, tie game. Frank Thomas pinch hitting.... then that home run to win it all. oh my god. orgasm. too bad it probably cant happen - but thats what dreams are for.

It's kinda like 1996, when Mattingly retired the year before the Yanks won it all.
