Bring out the brooms and bear down for post-season baseball.

Brandon McCarthy 2-2 4.21 v. Scott Elarton 11-8 4.51

I just want to take this opportunity to mention what an absolute joy White Sox baseball has been this season. It's been one hell of a ride.

Go get em', rook! :gosox1: :gosox4: :gosox1:

1B Blum

SS Uribe

3B Ozuna

I agree. It's been a joy, even though I may not have shown in so many posts.

In any case, Uribe and Dye should play tomorrow so there not too rusty. Other than that, who cares.

Let him get a day off. Once the playoffs start he starts every game thread, period.

You know, in my head, I kept telling myself I wouldn't care if the Sox lost today...since it would set up the potential 3-way-playoff that just had to hurt the other potential opponents.

But ya know what? Even with that logic in the back of my head...damn it feels good to screw over those Indians.

Go get em Kiddo. Let's finish this off right, and then we can turn a 5 game winning streak into a 16 game streak.

i'll never forget this season (obviously, i don't forget any)

but it was quite a trip from the pits feeling when all our free agent options left, to then around feb and march when we all started thinking...hey we really could do this (some of us felt if we all had career years...little did we know virtually nobody had career years and look where we are!) to that amazing first month! My god we couldn't lose a series!! To then frank getting back and just poundin the f***in ball over and over, and the 7 games i went to in june, this all coincided with me graduating high school and my first year of college, the pods voting!, the good start to august, then somebody started the thread (i remember when i was soo scared of august) and then we lost 7 straight...and then september, starting off brilliantly and then we all got scared as s***. I could barely watch from all the way back home...and the party i had when we won the division...It was awesome, truly awesome...and it was great to be able to read all the posters on this site and nfl-fans where theres a collection of sox fans.

Ouch! That line-up is brutal :bang ...but perfectly understandable. If we were to win with that crew, then we are destined for glory! :gosox1:

just a big thank you to this team for one helluva season

My lineup would be:

Casanova-c

Blum-short

Ozuna-3b

Harris-2b (so willie could bat cleanup)

Perez-lf

Gload-1b

Anderson-cf

Borchard-rf

Widge-DH

Our whole bench in the worst order will beat the tribe and eliminate them! how funny would that be (and harris is batting 4th)

I love that 3-4 combo, have you seen power like that before?? MERCY

My lineup:

Call up Roosevelt Brown, Brad Fullmer, Greg Norton, and Jamie Burke. Have BMac go 3 innings and bring in have a called up Felix Diaz finish off the game(even if it goes 30 innings). Play the guys who actually will make the playoff roster in different positions just in case we need an emergency backup somewhere, they'll have experience. Check it out:

Lineup:

SS-Timo Perez

2B-Jamie Burke

C-Willie Harris

3B-Roosevelt Brown

CF-Greg Norton

RF-Joe Borchard

DH-Brian Anderson

1B-Brad Fullmer

LF-Geoff Blum

Tons of pop in our bats. I'm sure we'll eclipse 200 HR's tommorow

ignoring the fact Fullmer is out for the year...:P

Exactly. He's really only out there to start a blood war with an Indians player. We haven't had excitement like that in some time. He's purely entertainment.

Rest him for Anderson. They need to find out if he makes the playoff roster. :P

Anderson will go 6 for 9 with 3 HR 2 2B and 5 RBI

I would play Dye and Uribe today, they need some game action before heading into the playoffs. Maybe DH Konerko to give him a shot for 100 RBI.

BTW, has there ever been a player to hit 40 HRs and not drive in a 100 runs? Seems a little pathetic...
