Someone brought this up in another thread. I'll withhold my opinion to at least the poll unbiased and will state my case shortly

That's easy , the Twins. if it werent for the twins, we might not play the baseball we do now and we'd still be swinging for the fences with every batter. Besides I don't really have a hatred for the twins like I do for the Cubs :gosox1:

The twins have a great organization, one that I respect a lot. If they weren't our rivals, I'd probably be a fan.

Who cares, we broke the barrier first, Sox fans always have to reference the Cubs, even in their pennant celebrations. They won't get there anyways

I dont care to vote for either team. Right now, its all about US.

No vote. Don't care.

It's all about the White Sox, baby.

Cubs. Chicago over the Twin cities anytime.

I don't have to deal with dbag Twins fans on a daily basis. A twins WS wouldn't really bother me in the least. A cubs WS? Now that would be hell.

I'd rather see the Cubs go than the f***ing Twins.

Twins...I didn't cheer for the Cubs in '03 and I still wouldn't have even if they didn't choke and beat the Marlins to reach the series.

:gosoxretro:

Twins. Don't even have to think hard about it.

The Cubs. I hate the Twinkies.

tuff 1

2 v. good points

1. cubs and their stupid fans going nuts

2. city of chicago / twins hatred.

Ill go with twins, cubs fans would annoy the s*** outta us.

and Twins are a v. good organization, with very little money spend on players (unlike yankees), and wud give AL central more respect i'd guess.

I don't hate the Twins. It'd be cool to see an AL Central team win the World Series, it would give this division some well deserved respects.

My usual order of cheering

Sox

Houston

AL Central

AL

It's football season.

Twins in a heartbeat. Really I don't even mind the Twins as a fan. They play the game correctly, and they still manage to compete even with a miserly payroll.

f*** the Cubs.

I actually like the Twins a whole bunch. Minnesota is my second home basically. Plus, I will always go for the AL and especially the AL Central first and foremost. I always want to prove our division is the best.

(it's got nothing to do with the Cubs, BTW)

Twins, no contest. AL Central team, well-managed, play the game the way it should be played.

Twins, I even rooted for them in the playoffs. I hate cubs and their fans.

If the situation being reversed means that the Sox have not been to a WS since 1959, then I go with the Twins.

BUT if the Sox have already won a WS of their own, then I'd root for the Cubs.

We have to win it next. Then they can win it and we can drop the stupid 'rivalry'.

Jerry Reinsdorf? Is that you?

Do people really think that the rivalry would go away, even if both teams brought home trophies?

I think not. I think the rivalry would be there, just as intense, even if the Chicago ballclubs won alternating championships for the next 10 years.

You might be right, but if both teams went back and forth with WS wins for a while, at least it would finally BE a rivalry.

Twins. No contest.

I hate the Indians more. There a bunch of cocky pricks.

Oh yeah. This goes without saying: :fthecubs

At least we were able to get 5 more outs.

I'd vote for the Twins. I respect them as a franchise, even if I dislike them. I made the poll because someone insinuated that most (i think he said this) sox fans would root for the Cubs and I didn't feel that was true so I tested it
