October 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Probally espn... what i always use anyway. Yeah or even Yahoo is pretty good with all of the splits.
October 20, 200520 yr Phil Garner is a tool. And he hates the Sox. I still think he called for Weaver to hit CLee in 2000 that eventually led to the retaliation and brawl. Guess I'm searching for less stats, more emotion!
October 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) i didnt know we had signed Wilton Alvaro Guerrero And this pops up out of nowhere
October 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 07:12 AM) And this pops up out of nowhere naw, on one of those links that shows oswalts stats, it lists guerreo as on our team. when did we pick him up?
October 20, 200520 yr My only concern is this: Minute Maid is very similar to the Cell, and we've been much better all season when playing on the road in a bigger ballpark. Busch would've been a better fit for us. I still think we are a slightly better team than Houston, but I'm definitely more concerned about them than I would've been about the Cardinals. But hey, that's why they play the games. Bring it on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would think that the short porch in left field would be an advantage for most of our pull-hitters like Konerko, Dye, Rowand, and Crede. But it will suck to have to worry about it everytime our pitchers are on the mound. What a stupid design for a ballpark.

I wonder if we could see the first bench clearing brawl in World Series history?
October 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 07:55 AM) That park is retarded. Forget Minute Maid, maaaaan, it's Tropicana for me! Its different, but it was a really cool place to see a ballgame. It was one of the favorite parks I have seen so far.

October 20, 200520 yr A few of our hitters faced Clemens and Pettite when they were still in the AL. I'm not sure if any of the Astros have faced our starters. Contreras, Mark, Jon, Freddy, Duque, Big Bad Bobby Jenks, Cotts have not pitched in the NL. Then again have any of hitters faced Oswalt or Lidge? Advantage Sox?? Crash Rowand playing that stupid hill in center makes me nervous.
October 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 08:20 AM) Crash Rowand playing that stupid hill in center makes me nervous. They played an exhibition game there in (iirc) '03 so they have some experience with the field format. Hopefully Aaron remembers.

Either way its still the juice bar...two corporately named ballparks facing off in the world series. Is this the first time that has ever happened? And this is completely off the top of my head too...so don't yell at me if I'm blatantly wrong.

The names of both ballparks have changed.

October 20, 200520 yr The last time the Sox faced Clemons, didn't they totally crush him - like 10 runs in three innings or something like that? SFF
