They were both strikes.

Disagree there, the pitch to scott was basically the same pitch jon threw for ball 4 last inning, both balls imo. The ump ain't going to get every call right though.

A lot of times in the NL, facing the pitcher to lead off the inning can help get the starter in a groove on the mound.

THE KEY TO NEXT INNING: DON"T PITCH TO BERKMAN WITH RUNNERS ON

Yes, but since the pitch was an offspeed pitch, the umpire was able to anticipate where it crossed the plate. I personally have no problem with any of the umpires calls so far, and that's definitely not the reason we're losing.

Bigger key to next inning is not letting anyone get on ahead of him. Let him hit in the bottom of the fourth.

I hate Everett.

Breaking the bat got everett a single there, Jon would have made that play otherwise.

The speed of the Astros has really played a factor so far, surprisingly as really only Everett and Taveras are fast.

So stupid.

CRAP

Wow, good call by Ozzie terrible execution

Nice throw Uribe.

WAKE UP JUAN!

Not good.

wow, we NEVER throw out runners attempting to steal a base.

I would have never labeled Uribe a smart player...

I'm not sure why PK was just stationed at 1b. He has to give Uribe a better angle to throw the ball to first.

That sucks. Should be 2 outs with Biggio up.

^^^^^^^^

It's academic.

If there was ever a case for momentum existing, this is it.

Free run. I'm feeling very sick now

Wow, will our outfielders please charge the ball a little harder? Dye seemed to take forever to get to that ball.
