Ok, I've got an idea for a thread....so stand back.

 

With the season starting, we're facing an influx of new posters who are likely not familiar with some nuances that take place around here. I feel we can use this thread to note some things about Soxtalk that newbies may not be familiar with, such as out razzing of Gage. The plan is to move this to How Does This Work after I get some stuff.

 

Here's some stuff to start out with:

 

Gene Honda Civic used to go by "The Cheat". Old-timers will likely refer to him as this.

 

When we refer to Gaging of the board, it's a reference to Soxtalk owner Jason Gage, who has crippled the board more times than most people have fingers.

Treat posters how you want to be treated, unless you're some sadistic twisted ignorant asshole, in which case you can just leave!! We don't like your kind round here.

I like to use periods and capital letters for almost off of my posts. Some find this to be annoying but I never think aobut it.

Messing up usage of any of the following words is a bannable offense here in SLaM.

 

its/it's

their/there/they're

our/are

to/too

 

(list is not exhaustive)

Green = sarcasm

 

But if you're really good it's not needed.
