Save percentages are misleading. Jenks was 6 for 8 last year, and Shingo was 8 for 9. Jenks was obviously the better option.

We would have won this game if Bobby doesn't give up that run.

 

Dumbass Hargrove would have brought in everyday eddie to give up the GW-HR... But since it's not a save situation, he brings in someone who can pitch.

It didn't happen too often last season, but two years ago--whether we were down 4 runs or 1--if the pitching gave up another run in the late innings our offense would come back, but fall short of however many runs the scrub reliever gave up.

 

Looks like now that won't happen anyways. If we would have scored three it would have been.
