Did Ozzie actually have Jenks come out for a third inning in relief?

Yes. I'd love to hear his reasoning for that.

Yes.

Everything and I mean every thing going right for the Red Sox. They are a good team and generally good teams earn their breaks. The strike zone has been a little weird today but so be it.

If the White Sox want to be great they need to beat great teams. Witness the 10th inning, you have got to make that stolen base happen and then you need a big hit. Didn't happen and now they are losing.

A wake up call for the 2nd half, not much else to say.

Jim they look bad right now and it won't get easier. The division maybe out of range unless they sweep the tigers. I also think they need a trade, maybe that shoota guy can think one up for us.

Yes and he almost finished it, but couldn't close the inning after getting 2 outs.

Our Future LF draws a walk. 2-2, 2B, RBI, R, BB.

well, what a terrible way to go to the break.

If we lose this one, it's going to really suck. This loss could be terrible to go into the break having been swept by a playoff team at home when you had a chance to come back in the last game to salvage something.

Actually, this is a carbon copy of last year.

The headlines of the last game before All-Star break in 2005:

"Swisher's 11th-inning double lifts A's to win"

The Sox were swept by Oakland at the Cell.

Take 2 of these, and put Red Sox unis on them, and then having them swinging their flippers, pointing at their chest and behaving like drunken fans, and you have a dead ringer for those 2 red sox fans behind the plate.

Right. You are exactly right. Their hitters have had a great approach the whole series.

It's the same reason we always struggled with the A's. Their hitters wouldn't just give up easy outs like some of ours (Uribe, etc.). They would always make our pitchers work.

Last thing I want to hear with this team is "standing pat" or "minor move." Hopefully this stretch can be a wakeup call to our front office.

Thome just needs to get on base here

Seems like he was pushing his luck a little.

Thome has never hit this guy. Hopefully, he'll let him walk him.

The Sox had roughly a 30-game lead at that point, too :P

It's a lot different than last year, especially when you consider our awful starters.

maybe that shoota guy can think one up for us.

Maybe you can tell me what's wrong with this board. Really, these trade suggestions have been nuts. Is it because the schools are out? Or is it my fault again?

Nice hit, jimbo.

I hope they bring in Seanez.

lead off man aboard, and our future LF drew a walk

Yes Big Jim!!

Here we go again. I smell another Rally.

According to Gammons, KW wanted Seanez instead of Riske when he dealt Lopez.

Thats a nice start. Now get on Pk, and let JD win this f***ing thing

Well the one thing we can say is the White Sox don't quit.

Paulie trying to tie this game up should be pretty fun. I call the suicide shrug (TM southsideirish71) after the 5th pitch.
