His 87 mph fastball has looked very hittable. And that slow fastball makes all of the rest of his pitches more hittable. Want proof? The Orioles are hitting him very well and have scored 3 runs so far, and he's not out of the 3rd inning.

 

That's probably the case, because he has hit his spots but nobody is having trouble hitting the ball.

In more ways than we can count, this is looking like a pre-2005 White Sox team.

 

Those teams usually tanked in August...not July.

I can't wait for Tejada to beat us all series. This team is absolutely dead right now. How come every other team has no problem scoring from first on a double, and we can't even score from second on a single?

Or our leadoff hitter hits a grounder up the middle the other day that the secondbaseman dives for and throws him out easily. The White Sox I believe lost their edge winning the WS. It happens to a lot of players and teams.

I never said Roberts was the someone who has or does not have power. In general, I am surprised that other teams don't run Freddie's fat, sweaty ass around more. And Roberts hit 18 homers last year when he grew up as a hitter.

I'm going to watch the 2005 DVD, and remember what it was like seeing a team play with an edge.

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to say how someone with very little power this year has taken Freddy deep today. You know, just to highlight how terrible he is.

Anderson is hitting better, but he still only has 1 homer and 4 rbi on the road this season which ties him with Carlos Zambrano on the road. Carlos only has 16 ABs though.

It's beyond unbelievable that he isnt in there, it truely is. Is KW so worried about an injury coming in the next two months? Does he not understand that Vazquez and Garcia just plain suck? McCarthy has no defined role on this team. They don't use him in Long Relief, because Ozzie leaves the starters out there, no matter how hard they get rocked.

I don't understand all the consternation with not putting McCarthy in the starting rotation. There is only one of him and there are 3 starters at the moment who are ineffective.
