So I guess Soriano, Lilly, Marquis, and Meche all were great signings this offseason? :P

should i pick up hunter pence?

He's going to be really good, I'd take a flier on him if I were you and you need someone.

Giants called up rookie Fred Lewis today and started in his first major league game...oh yeah, he hit for the cycle!!!

Wow, that's amazing!! Congrats!!

Also, the Marlins did the unthinkable and were swept by the Washington Nationals, putting their 120 loss pace in jeopardy.

Joe Morgan, who has never said a superlative about any non-minority in baseball, proclaimed Gary Sheffield to be the most feared hitter in the entire major leagues. He spent a good 5 minutes saying how great he is during the first inning tonight.

It was his 3rd ML start actually... but none-the-less, it was still amazing.

Hey, 3 of this hits (not the single) were oppo! Would be nice to see some of our hitters go oppo...

Actually, Lewis played in 13 games last year as well.

Morgan sucks, what a little s***.

I know it's been said before, but I have to -- JJ Hardy, wtf?!

We always knew he had the ability.

I love Gwynn Jr. The guy plays the game right (just like one of my all time fav's, his old man).

I mentioned Jr.'s name before and everyone said he sucked. I'm still a fan of his.

Where is Texas and Tampa Bay playing? Looks like a minor league field.

Orlando, FL.

Orlando, FL.

On a minor league field.

And I believe they drew about 1000 more fans than they drew last year for an average game in a Rangers @ Tampa series.

Anyone heard the Lastings Milledge rap song? It's suddenly unavailable on the official website...

The Legend Jack Cust just hit a solo HR over the center field wall to break a 2-2 tie with Kansas City in the bottom of the 8th and put Joe Blanton in position to move to 5-1. Amazing. EDIT: Oakland blew it in the 9th and lost 4-3, but Cust is still the man.

Also, Kip Wells is now 1-8 with a 6.75 ERA. Look out Mike Maroth, 21 losses might have company soon (or if nothing else, Kip's personal career high of 18 losses set in 2005 is in jeopardy).

If he keeps losing at such a ridiculous pace, do you think they'll actually keep him around for the entire season?

Who do the Cardinals have right now who could replace him?

I hear Sidney Ponson is looking for work.

And by "looking for work" I mean getting drunk on a beach looking for a judge to punch.

I guess no one. But, they did only sign him to a 1-year deal, and you gotta imagine they might try something different if the guy is about to lose 20 games and has an ERA close to 7.

If you hear of someone hiring, let me know!

Cubs blow a 5-1 lead going into the 9th against the Mets and lose 6-5. Sad, just really really sad.

What was crazy about Kip Wells is that he threw 125 pitches in 5 innings of work

Anybody else who has MLB.TV sick of the Dick's SPorting Goods commercial they play every break? Especially the dumb Yankee fans saying, "It's about doing what it takes to win!"
