Snow?? Now I'm expecting slip-&-slide bloopers with the Benny Hill theme playing in the background.

 

Does anyone know if it's actually supposed to snow-- or are they just flurries?

I am predicting a solid showing for prancer, maybe a stolen base or two with Martinez behind the plate. As long as he gets on, which is hard for him I know, he should be able to run all day on Victor.

I still do not understand why they leave the day after the opener as an off day every year. Yesterdya it was 70 degrees and sunny. The next four games are going to be miserable. Oh well.

If today's game is played, this would be about as bad a conditions for a Sox game as I've ever seen. And I went to that game several years ago in April against Detroit where like 2,000 people were there and it was 28 degrees out (great game too, we won and Kenny Lofton robbed some guy of a homer, lol).

I will be there, freezing my ass off.

It's ridiculously windy downtown, as well.

 

Could be an interesting day for flyballs.

I'm ditching school for this game so it better not be postponed. Winds gusts are expected to be up to 50 MPH, so wind chills could enter the teens. Should be fun!

Time to get our first win under our belt.

With the wind like it is, let play Pods in LF, Mack in CF, and Pablo in RF just for fun.

 

 

I hope JG does well. The team could really use a nice outing after the Contreras disaster.

I wouldn't think that "periods of scattered snow flurries", as they are calling for, would be enough to cancel the game.

Yarg its gonna be cold. Good thing I'm going to the game on friday. Oh no thats no better. Ah well.....class time may go by faster with Gameday up on the compy. Go Sox.

The only other time I remember a game being called for cold weather is about 6 years ago a game that I was going to got canceled because it was a little bit under 40 degrees and windy, but it was also a night game. I'm hoping it's not canceled because this weather isn't anything bad compared to Bears games.

Unfortunately you can't compare a baseball game to a football game. Football games are almost never canceled. I doubt today's game will be canceled but you never know with baseball.
