Well of course. I'd expect most everybody here to say it. That does nothing to convince me. He wouldnt have gotten it.

Sure this coming from a person who wanted Buerhle over Johan. Hawk at least would want Johan over Buerhle, and he is a homer.

A few feet? You need to watch the replay after the game.

I just watched it again on Tivo, you make it sound like it landed 20 feet away, he had a foot on the track when the ball landed.

Pitching and defense wins championships I've heard. Can't have one without the other.

Not sure he could have caught it, but Erstad took way too long retrieving it. With a runner racing towards home, you need to show more intensity going after the ball.

They ruled that a single for Hafner? Why?

Just watched it over on the DVR. It did not seem that far away. At least it didn't hit him on the head after he jumped and landed...

sisco strikes out the batter and proceeds to pick his nose and yell obscenities

Quit freakin posting s*** I didn't say. I never said I'd take Buerhle over Johan. NEVER did I say that in that thread last night. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Pods over Sizemore? :P

We all make bad proclamations sometimes.

You can tell he tried to sell it to the runner. But maybe his dumbass should have realized that it was two outs.

So if Anderson were in CF, the score would still be 2-0 instead of 4-0, because the ball Erstad couldn't reach would have been the third out of the inning if BA were playing.

Is the official scorer watching the same game as we are? How is that ball to Iguchi considered a hit?

WTF is Erstad leading off for against Fultz. You know he staying in with Thome batting behind him. Put in Ozuna.

Erstad facing a LHP? f*** you Ozzie. This team needs more Pablo.

That's fine. But quote s*** I said. Don't make up s*** I didn't say.

And I didn't say I'd take Pods over Sizemore either.

Why is Erstad still in?

Why isn't he being substituted for?

Of course, it takes a very special talent to do that...

PINCH HIT OZZIE, GOD DAMN IT!!

I'm sorry, but if I had my money on the line, I would not pick this team to win the division this year.

I doubt it.

Although I'm not sure why Erstad, now 0 for his last 19, isn't being pinch hit for...

Because he's a grinndeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssttttttttaaadddddd.

How is it our manager has no problem using 11 pitchers a game, but steadfastly refuses to ever use the bench?

What logic does that follow?

To be fair, I thought when you said the thing about Buehrle last year that you were trying to say he was having a better season up to that point than Santana.

you forgot the 4 HR he woulda hit too....prolly woulda been like 6-2

Ozzie needs to be made to sit in the corner after the game and read "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Managing a Baseball Team".

I don't think many people did. This is the prove me wrong year for us like I've said multiple times. I just don't see us doing much even though our pitching keeps me optimistic.
