If they stop it for the night, it would start in this exact same situation now right and they'd finish later. Tho at this point I imagine they'll try to do everything to get it in.

Me too, but either way I don't like having to restart games because you never know what happens...momentum changes plus you have to use extra arms and all that jazz.

This is insane!!!! BTW, how do they rule on a ball that hits the ump like that?

Umpire is a part of the field, like the walls or bases. If he's in fair territory, its a fair ball.

Dang it, Bobbay!

Let's close this out with no drama and get out of town.

A nice boring bottom of the ninth PLEASE!

Seriously, how do they rule that?

If it hit him in fair territory (even if it looked like it was heading foul, it would have been fair and the opposite would hold true as well). I'm 99% sure on that.

I know they changed some of the rules for game suspensions this year.

YAHTZEE! That'd be me :D

Yeah, this game is a circus.

Remember that game in '05 where they choked vs. Cleveland on flyballs to left?

I laughed and cried because Cle was only 2 back.

You just know nothing will be easy this upcoming inning.

I'd bet more for Jenks giving up a run than him pitching a perfect 9th for the save.

How close was he to being in fair territory? And I agree, you can't judge where the ball will go.

Chip Ambres

I'm expecting some crazy stuff to end this game. A triple play maybe.

Perfect inning...book it.

At least the KC DJ was kind enough to play 'Thunderstruck' for us... :P

Weather definitely favors KC here.

Throw strikes. Catch the ball when its hit to you.

Chip Ambres

It was close, but he was clearly in foul territory when he was drilled.
