The Sox should change their name in 2007 to the Mendozas. Actually, that would be a compliment right now.

Yeah, lets not get ahead of ourselves yet.

But we're 4th in the AL in home runs!!! Who cares how runs are scored!?!?! LOLZ!

how is this possible to be this bad offensively?

We make it seem so hard to ever throw out someone stealing or throw out someone from the outfield. Do other teams get to use 80 foot base lengths?

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 1, 2007 -> 10:34 PM)
Neither was Buehrle, but I'm glad we didn't kick him out like you wanted.

The money for 2006 and 2007 shouldn't be held against him because the Yankees threw all that at cash him when he wasn't pitching like an average starter on a below average team.

Do a search and try to find when I said kick out Buerhle. I would trade him for a nice package. Not Gavin Floyd, and I certainly wouldn't match the best offer he will get this off season, and neither will JR. KW threw a lot of money at him for 2008,2009 and 2010 way before he needed to.

Lift and pull versus low and away

I'm coming to realize that resigning Podsednik wasn't the only bad move this winter. This bench was horribly constructed. You can't do a whole lot about Hall getting hurt, but you cannot have Cintron/Ozuna/Mackowiak all on the same team. I would love to have a Casey Blake on this team right now.

KW job getting a bench was horrid!

Did you watch the 2nd half last year? People never realized how bad our offense was, as they'd rather blame the pitching.

Ooh he was safe.

LOL fathom, they scored so many runs!!! Only behind Cleveland! Anyone who says homerun offenses suck doesn't understand baseballz!

Wow, an OF assist. WTF.

Caught a break there.

Wow, another fluke play in the mode of Sunday's double play. I like how Terrero got behind the ball. First time I've seen that by a Sox player in ages.

People???

Some moronic baserunning there by Seattle saves us a run.

The run was waived off?

The White Sox have relied on homeruns to score even when they were supposedly playing "Ozzieball". When they hit their 200th homer last season, they had scored almost exactly the same amount of runs they had scored in 2005 when they hit 200 homers for the season. It was within 2 or 3 IIRC.

FWIW, can we please stop piping fastballs to Sexson on the first pitch? I think AJP took one too many chairshots.

Sox hitters, please swing at more first pitches. It's worked well so far.

Good outing for Javy, hopefully he's done.

Does Crede ever hit line drives anymore?

Ozzieball was a myth, no doubt. And HR's are great. But when every memeber of the team has the same horrible swing, it creates some problems. Like when they face future Hall-of-Famer Cy Durbin.

Low and away = big whiff.

Surprise?

Ozzieball = have 3 relievers have career season.
