Boone didn't pitch all that bad.

Agreed, but he had garbage defense behind him. Man, that Crede injury really hurt.

Giving Dempster a couple of runs to work with is inexcusable. But there are those that really think Ozzie Guillen is 100% the reason the Sox won the WS in 2005.

And those are the dumbasses who also think KW got equal value in the Garcia trade.

this kinda game is been in waiting for the sox. When you cant hit and you put your two worst bullpen guys in a two run game.

this is what you get.

Logan actually hasn't been pitching bad. Got Morneau and Matsui out in big situation. Gave up two ground balls that inning.

I wasn't watching the game, but why in the hell wasn't AJP brought in for defensive purposes after the top of the 7th? With a 2 run lead and Hall just batting the inning before, that would have been the smart baseball decision to make. Of course, with the idiot we have managing, that would be too much thinking.

The problem is you can't play AJ in every single game. I think he eventually entered each of Molina's starts. He won't survive August at that pace. And it's going to be a huge problem, as Hall obviously can throw the ball about 75% as well as Victor Martinez with Freddy Garcia on the mound.

Good thing we played the Angels already, they'd have 14 stolen bases against us.

odds the sox go 1-2-3 this inning?

QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ May 18, 2007 -> 03:54 PM)
Since Dumpster had a blow up yesterday he probaly strike out the side against us

It would be really doubtful for him to blow a multiple run lead 2 days straight.

Wow, gonna need more than our rally caps on in the 9th. Our hitting is not used to 3 run innings.

angel pagan=sox killer

last year in the final game at wrigley, he hit 2 homers in the cubs 15-11 win, and today, he's 3-5

well at least the cubs bullpen sucks and we have a shot...oh wait no we dont, we have uribe, hall, and terrero, and the worst offense in the league

It must be nice to get offensive production from your minor league players when you call them up. Instead, we get people annointing Ryan Sweeney as a god thanks to his soft .209 average.

Wow. You guys are totally freaking out.

Honestly, this site is almost unbearable these days, and I don't understand it at all.

We keep winning series and some people will never stop being negative about every little thing no matter what the sox do in terms of the big picture.

Seriously, things like "this team is finished" and "might as well not bother showing up" and "fire kenny and ozzie right now" should be reserved for times when we are:

a) losing 7 of 10

B) in 4th or 5th place

c) losing series

d) losing a single series this month

e) losing series

Very high

With only a 1 run lead, if something happened with one of the first 2 hitters, he might have fallen apart. With runs to work with and an offense that simply has a tough time scoring, he should be fine.

Ummm....Masset and Sisco are worse, which leaves us with Jenks and Thornton again...what new?

Wow. You guys are totally freaking out.

This thread has been hilarious since the Cubs took the lead.

Man, we'd be battling for first if our bullpen didn't blow so many f***ing games.

We've had several days off in the past few weeks. AJ has had plenty of time off.

Ozzie will never learn that MacDougal sucks. You have Aardsma, with an ERA under 2 and more k's than innings pitched. OR You have MacDougal with an ERA over 5 and a WHIP of about 2. I'm so sick of Ozzie's stupidity. The choice is so obvious but he's so F32king stupid. His ignorance has cost us at least 5 games.

Please don't wake up tomorrow Ozzie.

When you are in a tough division, you can't afford to be losing games like this. Games you should win.

1-2 already on Uribe. At least Sweeney is in the hole. Should've played him over Terrero in the first place. Of course Ozzie Guillen's too much of an idiot.

Lefties are hitting .417 against MacDougal coming into today. Good thing Ozzie brought in MacDougal to face a switch-hitter. Nothing like putting your team in the best chance to succeed.

I'm surprised we had contact on that pitch.

I see. I didn't realize we went undefeated in games against teams with worse records in 2005.

Soriano do you seriously have to F****** hop every time you catch a ball?

Sweet...Sweeney can work the count full, and then break his bat. Hopefully it'll be a bloop.
