Well maybe because thats the nature of being a baseball fan but if you notice a few people said let him hit, he thrives on those situations.

And I definitely agree with it.

NOW we waste a Thornton outing when we're up 8. Figures.

Logan's tired.

Nice catch for Thornton.

RALLY PROTON ACCELERATOR

I'm in.

Real quick: if you pull AJ for Hall in that situation, then you do have a major controversy and big time chemistry issues.

Yes you are correct. Unfortunately that would be the case. AJP is tremendously competitive, I mean really really competitive. And he can't keep quiet either, hah. So yes there would have been issues.

Did you see Cano's play yesterday?

He was on his back and off balance, Jones was set and trying to gun it home.

Can you give a few examples? I'm rather curious.

Zito vs the A's.

Wow was that fast. And LOL at the Cano play yesterday, that throw off his foot was better than the throw Jacque made though.

Coincidence that our offense wakes up the second Thome returns...and I mean like...THE inning he actually returns to play?

Hopefully Ozzie was looking as Thornton pitched that last inning. Use him, not Sisco.

Crede with tightness in his lower back. Josh Fields, your plane is now boarding.

Wishful thinking, cut a trade with the Reds for Freel. He is the energy type guy needed. But back to reality.

Everyone knows that if AJ struck out, we'd be calling for Ozzies head. But since he hits a grand slam, it was the right move. Props to you, SoxTalkers.

I'd have still hit Toby, but hey it worked out well obviously. I would assume the A.J. in the clutch and he was teammates with Cotts and caught Cotts and Toby didn't and wasn't factors were taking into thought too.

Well, some of it may be the Cubs throwing the towel in, not necessarily Thorton being so dominating.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:28 PM)
Not really. You put Hall in and he's at D, and let's say he'd stranded the runners, singles are triples and it's a different game.

Great job AJ Pierzynski.

Toby kills LHP and that was his first start of the season hes going to have some rust. AJP has been better against lhp this season but still toby was brought here to help our club against lhp.

Ozzie got lucky, much like a good chunk of '05.

Nice job AJP.

I agree with your thoughts and its only fair that Guillen gets some props for showing faith in the guy who is known to thrive in those spots, right?

We scored 6 runs with 2 outs, in 1 inning. It's hard for this team to score 6 runs in 15 innings. Clearly, it's Thome.

Joe Crede doesn't have many games in a Sox uniform left

Uh-oh.

Aardsma warming up.

He saves Thornton for later-innings.

Oh, and Masset deserves a lot of credit. He pitched great.

QUOTE(beautox @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:25 PM)
still the wrong f***ing call to let him hit.

pretty weak, Beautox.

Except for yesterday and the day before, of course.

we need 1 more hit to get to double digets in hitting today.
