KW in PTI five good minutes right now

Make sure you recap it for me, since I'll be down at the ballpark!

KW says he is looking to add major pieces to the team.

He said that the he is behind Ozzie Guillen and KW doesnt think were out of it yet. Says the fans have been wonderful in their support. He basially said he consults the players about trades because they may have more knowledge than him. Says hes a buyer and hes looking at adding major pieces to the puzzle but he might go out and unload some veterans if they keep slumping for three more weeks or so. Pretty much says theyre gonna go from today and see how good we can be.

I still think he may do both. Sell some guys for prospects he thinks can help now or in the near future, as well as sell some prospects that he isn't as high on for major league position players that can help us now and in the future.

Yep.

This team seems pretty loose right now... like even as a fan it feels like there is no pressure. I think KW will see if the team can first get to .500 before the all star break. (13-5) If they can do that, I can see KW pulling off a deal for some speed in the OF and possibly even trading some prospects for decent relievers.

KW says he made some calls already but the other teams aren't biting. I wonder what those calls were about?!

Anyway, lets get the series win tonite!!

That PTI interview and the happy joking Kenny makes it real hard to dislike the guy

I agree 100%. I think this team is gonna go on a tear in the next 3 weeks. I don't know exactly why I feel that, I just have that feeling they are gonna get white hot and turn this season around. Hopefully I'm right.

At this point, nothing would really surprise me, so I wouldn't rule out continued poor play, but I am in agreement that I think we may just see some good White Sox baseball in the few weeks ahead.

The team knows that if they don't get it going immediately, they are cooked. Maybe that's what it takes to get these guys going, I don't know.

That said, I'm not ready to concede. Let's get hot and see where we stand come Mid-July.

I think we will trade for Pods and Erstad. That will be our trades unless we can get a reliever or two

we need to be looking for players who are between the ages of 22-28, who are mlb ready, and who are locked up for at least a couple more seasons. I wouldn't mind a little bit of both. I would like to hear KW say that they have to get younger and do better at scouting at young talent in other farm systems.

Do you think they are going to be 66-30 hot. Because that is what you need to win 95 games which should be about what you will need for a playoff spot.

36 over 500 is basically destroying all of baseball for the next few months.

What have you seen from this squad to warrant that sort of optimism?

They scored 10 runs last night! The fuse has now been lit for the 12th time this season!

Of course those 10 runs were at the aid of an injured starting pitcher, some of the absolute worst defense you are ever going to see and a 29 year old Korean who's major league career might just be coming to an end.

Even if we were to turn things around somehow and make the playoffs, it still doesn't mask one fact we've learned this year: We're old and need to bring in young guys to make sure that all of a sudden we aren't going to become awful once our older guys' skills diminish.

He was basically doing company-speak. Of course he's not gonna say he's a seller...makes him look like he did a crap job this year and lowers value. And of course he's going to defend ALL of the coaches like he said. That interview had all the earmarks of one of those mushy-ass Hallmark "I f***ed Up" cards.

BTW, it will be on again in about 3 min. on ESPNEWS

Good tip! I'm having my roommate DVR it b/c I'm at school.

Thanks

When do actually get the Alomar brothers and Carl Everett this year?
