I seen Shoot em Up last night and god that is an awful movie.I realize you have to suspend disbelief at times and just enjoy the movie but it was so unbelievable it was laughable.Worst movie I have seen in the past year.

I agree. Not that good. Although Monica Bellucci is very sexy.

I'm currently watching Tommy on VH1 Classic. Fabulous.

That was the point. :chimp

yeah...shoot 'em up is first and foremost a comedy. it's basically an entire movie filled with ridiculous, unbelievable scenes that most action movies only have one or two of. so...if you're looking for more of a dramatic action thriller you're going to be disappointed. but i definitely recommend it for anyone just looking for about 90 minutes of non-stop over-the-top fun.

Ya I know but it wasnt well done like a "Tarintino" over the top action. That movie took advantage of a numbskull moviegoers who don't care about anything other than seeing boobs and guns in a movie. The carrot fetish in the movie was not clever nor funny and they absolutely wasted a good talent in Paul Giamatti.Oh and the scene in the end where they are falling out of a fake sky in a "fierce gun battle" was not cool to watch or comical it just looked like a lazy filmdirector finished it off with a nice big dump.

Dude, the carrot thing was supposed to be like Buggs Bunny. It was a cartoonish version of a cliche action films. Buggs Bunny = Cartoons.

Get it yet?

Juno was good, but I thought it was rated R. The show was packed with kids that probably had no clue what the hell was going on, and they wouldn't STFU.

The Orphanage was good. It wasn't great, but you should see it if you have the time.

I was gonna say... I was laughing basically the whole movie. If you were still thinking you were seeing a 'serious' movie after about the first five minutes, well then... I don't know, that's just very hard to believe.

Lol.I understood that it was not a serious movie, you are missing my point.I give up.

Anyone in for a rousing rendition of Cloverfield speculation?

I think I just saw a commercial for a movie where some girl has a monster in her vagina

Yup. Called "Teeth" or something like that.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the bajingo.

I wiki'd it

"High school student Dawn works hard at suppressing her budding sexuality by being the local chastity group's most active participant. Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy stepbrother Ross McIntire's increasingly provocative behavior at home. A stranger to her own body, innocent Dawn discovers she has a toothed vagina when she becomes the object of violence."

Isn't that the basic premise of Liquid Sky? I know that one has the infamous line of "I kill with my c**t".

There Will Be Blood

NSS72's rating: 3.5 very weird stars

Saw this on Saturday. Very strange film. You pretty much have an idea of what you are going to get within the first 15 seconds - the imagery and the strikingly bizarre music set the tone. Definitely unique, not like anything else I've seen. Daniel Day-Lewis' performance is beyond superb - truly amazing is a better description. Paul Dano's job also very well done. Great cinematography, striking scenery (supposed to be central CA circa 1890-1920, but also filmed in TX and NM), biting dialogue, and a depth of symbolism I didn't fully take in until the next day. Also, good and creepy. The music was soooo strange; it was as if the soundtrack was attempting to convey the energy of the minds of the characters in a scene, as opposed to the scene as a whole. It made for a sometimes discombobulated feel. And the ending was intellectually disorienting.

Not a feel good film, but definitely worth seeing.

Finally saw Apocalypto. Would recommend it even with its many factual inaccuracies and somewhat cliche action chase sequence in the final third of the movie. Visually stunning.

Netflix update:

Watched AP Naked Mile, much funnier than Beta House.

Isnt that like saying "Zooey 101 is so much better than Drake and Josh"

(This will probably only be funny to parents of 5-10 year old daughters like myself" ;) )
