Thome is such a rally killer these days. First two guys in the line up get on and nothing from the 3-4-5 guys. When he isn't hitting homers, he is useless.

His numbers are average, but very mediocre for him, since the ASB.

No Bobby Jenks tonight. He's out with a minor ankle injury.

I missed a lot of games, but does Richar every hit the ball hard? Also, Andy Gonzalez shouldn't be leading off in AA or AAA.

3 HRs given up in a pitchers park

Our starters seem to be giving up a ton of homers lately.

I love when we give the run right back

Nice to see you back, btw.

Fields is nasty.

These are the type of games that give me no hope for next season. There have been far too many of them this season.

Well, maybe Jon won't be on the team next year. Think about that. MIRITE?

YAY Fields.

Nice to have a guy who can hit lefties consistently.

Wait it's a one run game, how is that hopeless? The A's have been hot recently despite a similar record.

Fields just rules against LHP. Thome finds another way to kill a rally.

Have we ever (in recent memory) had a play like that go in our favor? Where a guy is out by 10 feet, but the ball rolls away on a routine tag/slide...

Not sure, but we've had some guys called safe on creative slides quite often over the last couple of years. I'm so unimpressed by what Garland is throwing up to the plate these days. He's costing himself a lot of money.

He's making 10 mil next year.

$12M, actually.

Oh, and I hope you're OK with me changing around your words... ;)

I got a PM today from somebody who didn't appreciate the same treatment. I'll leave you all to guess who it was.

I love Richar, even tho he's hitting sub .200...OBP over .320 is pretty sexy. When/if he starts hitting he will be all-around solid as hell.

Righties are 1-26 against Ehren Wasserman this season

Lefties are 12-62 against Boone Logan this season

When Hall catches for MacDougal the opponents OPS against is 1.304 (26 PA)

When Pierzynski catches for MacDougal the opponents OPS against is .638 (96 PA)

For some reason, seeing that Pods has 7 RBIs this year made me laugh. This is so sad.

Never fear. Darrin Erstad is ready to pinch hit in case Juan Uribe accidently reaches base on a dropped third strike.

Erstad hit .192/.300/.346 vs. LHP last year, and is currently hitting .180/.219/.279 against them this year. Spectacular choice.....

And it nets a run before I can finish typing.
