December 13, 200718 yr I just feel so much pride for Frank. He continues to be the face of a natural, fair, red blooded baseball player, and one of the best to ever play. Frank is a leader of players who play the fair game. I am proud to be a White Sox fan this day. All man, all real, all handsome.
December 13, 200718 yr First ballot Hall of Fame. Not only was he a great player, but he also had to hit off roid heads.
December 13, 200718 yr Pride. That's it. (now, on a bit of a funny note to think about, just imagine for one mere second if Frank had done steroids...hed probly be a career .320 hitter with like 600 jacks and a career OPS of like 1.050 or something ridiculous. K now stop imagining that because it's gross)
December 13, 200718 yr Today should put an end to the discusion on whether he was a first ballot Hall of Famer or not.
December 13, 200718 yr His numbers, which already stood on their merit, are now even more impressive when you consider he's one of the few, the proud, the clean. His on field accomplishments and the way he attained them can never be debated, he's an all time great and hall of famer. And he needs to get his 2000 MVP award that is so deserved.
December 13, 200718 yr Author QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) Today should put an end to the discusion on whether he was a first ballot Hall of Famer or not. Agreed. I must be there when he's inducted.
December 13, 200718 yr This should be in here: http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/subscribe...p-4690710c.html
December 13, 200718 yr Will always be my favorite all time player and the reason why I am a Chicago White Sox fan.... To you Big Frank
December 13, 200718 yr Didn't he lose the MVP or some other award to a 'roider? He should be granted that award retroactively if so!
December 13, 200718 yr QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 02:46 PM) Didn't he lose the MVP or some other award to a 'roider? He should be granted that award retroactively if so! Jason Giambi in 2000.
December 13, 200718 yr I don't get this thread. To me Frank never had any links to steroids, and the Mi$tchell Report isn't the end-all of the steroids in the history of baseball. My level of respect for Frank, Thome or Konerko hasn't changed today, but I say that not as an insult.
December 13, 200718 yr QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) I don't get this thread. To me Frank never had any links to steroids, and the Mi$tchell Report isn't the end-all of the steroids in the history of baseball. My level of respect for Frank, Thome or Konerko hasn't changed today, but I say that not as an insult. This thread is because Frank actually COOPERATED and by virtue of that, proved that all these other chumps are fakes. It makes his baseball standing even higher above all these other guys.
December 13, 200718 yr I've never been the biggest of Frank fans compared to other Sox fans but good for him on this. He's showed his true colors on this issue right from the beginning, good good job Frank.
December 13, 200718 yr Frank Already has 3 MVP's in my mind. Also if he was juicing, his prime would have lasted maybe 4-5 more years. Scary.
December 13, 200718 yr QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 05:01 PM) Frank Already has 3 MVP's in my mind. Also if he was juicing, his prime would have lasted maybe 4-5 more years. Scary. and he would have been better, which is scarier
December 13, 200718 yr I hope you get first ballot HOF vote you big man. Those jackasses at ESPN Radio 1000 (Mac, Jurko and Harry) can go to hell, they were surprised that Frank didn't come up on that list. God bless him, he is truly "the man!"
December 13, 200718 yr Author QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) I don't get this thread. To me Frank never had any links to steroids, and the Mi$tchell Report isn't the end-all of the steroids in the history of baseball. My level of respect for Frank, Thome or Konerko hasn't changed today, but I say that not as an insult. It had absolutely nothing to do with any sort of link to steroids. No one's ever really believed that Frank had anything to do with it. It's just on days like today, you can truly appreciate what Frank Thomas was and is for baseball, and especially for Chicago White Sox baseball.
