February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 08:54 PM) You might still be right. Big time choke job with their missed blitzes. Nah, they went from getting blown out and facing the toughest defense in the AFC to winning in one quarter. Even if they blow it here in the last minute, they showed that they could hang. Although a very bitter pill
February 2, 200917 yr where the HELL is the official review? Edited February 2, 200917 yr by WilliamTell
February 2, 200917 yr What a terrible ending to the biggest football game of the year. At least it ended the way the entire game went, with the Cardinals getting f***ed in the ass by the officiating crew.
February 2, 200917 yr Oh my God, what a ridiculous game. Kurt Warner thrashed the Steelers D. Santonio Holmes, you carried this one.
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 03:06 AM) where the HELL is the official review? Yep, they had absolutely no control of this game.
February 2, 200917 yr Very happy the Cardinals came back. They indeed showed they could hang and they most definitely showed that they belonged. Why was there no review on that last play by Warner though?
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 10:10 PM) Very happy the Cardinals came back. They indeed showed they could hang and they most definitely showed that they belonged. Why was there no review on that last play by Warner though? The refs had money on Pittsburgh.
February 2, 200917 yr What a great game. The 2 best Super Bowl's have come in the past 2 years. Larry Fitzgerald...you are ridiculous!
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 09:08 PM) What a terrible ending to the biggest football game of the year. At least it ended the way the entire game went, with the Cardinals getting f***ed in the ass by the officiating crew. It's the only way the Steelers can win a Super Bowl, or so it seems.
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) Your O-line still sucks. Ben just made plays. Ben has always protected them to the media, even as they were getting his ass killed every week. Steelers need to completely revamp the OL in the offseason.
February 2, 200917 yr Does this second Superbowl in his first five seasons put Roethlisberger into the HOF already?
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 10:29 PM) Does this second Superbowl in his first five seasons put Roethlisberger into the HOF already? Nope. His WRs keep getting the MVPs.
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 10:33 PM) Nope. His WRs keep getting the MVPs. Is that a real argument or are you joking?
February 2, 200917 yr I wasn't home to comment in this thread while the game was going on and I have nothing against the Steelers, but the officiating was f***ing horrendous during this game.
February 2, 200917 yr The most important call of the year, and they don’t take 30 seconds to review it? Ridiculous
February 2, 200917 yr I really hope Warner gives it one more year. Would love to see him go over the 30,000 yard mark and over the 200 TD mark and get into the Hall.
February 2, 200917 yr What do you want them to review? His arm was hit and the ball was jarred loose...all while the ball was behind his head.
February 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) What do you want them to review? His arm was hit and the ball was jarred loose...all while the ball was behind his head. That ball was steady in his hand enough on the follow through for it to be an incomplete pass. Either way, the simple fact that it wasn't even reviewed, added with the rest of the awful officiating, is outrageous.
February 2, 200917 yr The officiating was terrible in the game. I'm actually surprised they called holding in the endzone for a safety.
February 2, 200917 yr That was another classic game. That 4th quarter was incredible, by my God, the refs were terrible.
