In a way, Marmol reminds me of a young Octavio Dotel.

I am gonna say that Marmol's ERA without looking would be the second worst in our bullpen now after Russell. Not saying I wouldn't love to have his arm, but just funny.

 

Marmol is as about as good as Octavio Dotel now.

Really? I watched the game and I never picked up on it only being the 2nd swing of the inning, even when 5 guys reached before him.

Im just saying what they say on their board. They dont think the cubs will have a problem scoring double digits on our staff. Especially at home.

just for the record AL is up 7-2 tonight with one more still to be decided...that pushes the record to 74-50... that really is a huge difference

Yep, I just checked gameday pitch by pitch to make sure. Navarro was the only other person to swing and that was pitch 1 of his at bat.

Lou's overuse of Marmol and Zambrano bites him in the ass all in one mid-June series. Lou is generally a very good manager, but his refusal to lose a couple battles to win the war (overusing several pitchers) is going to hurt them in the long run, and that process has already started. Nice to see them look that bad coming into a series with us, and the Rays are awfully good.
