April 15, 200817 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 10:04 PM) Between that stache and his legendary secondary lead, it has all the makings of a great statue. I was just going to say, the "pose" on the statue should be him with a huge lead off of 1st base, ready to somehow score on a 1 out gapper by Herbert Perry. April 15, 200817 yr I remember the good old days with Valentine out there at SS butchering balls hit to him... God, for some reason I love those good old memories. Damn, it doesn't seem like he has been gone for over 4 years now. It seems like just yesterday he was playing for us. Edited April 15, 200817 yr by BearSox

Don't forget how he was the best at reading a ball in the dirt and taking the base. I said that the Frank Thomas poll was the best ever. I stand corrected.

April 15, 200817 yr Author Why the f*** was this moved to the diamond club? It's obviously White Sox content. I deserve an explanation.

I nearly spit my drink out last night when Hawk said BA's read of Street's ball in the dirt in the 9th was "almost Jose Valentin-like."

Nah, the pose should be him doing a mock Sam-ME bunny hop or blowing kisses into the stands after putting one out of the park on the wrong side of town. Good times.
