Uribe would've made that catch.

hahahaha infield single for Thome, how often does that happen?

I constantly wonder why guys like Ortiz and Thome who are so badly overshifted don't try laying down a bunt up the 3rd base line. If the pitcher doesn't field it then they're hitting 1.000.

perfect timing, lol.

Fathom, do you really think Jeter is a solid shortstop?

Yes...it's almost to the point it's underrated due to how everyone thinks he's overrated.

uribe's in everyone's fielding business left and right tonight

Exactly, I actually think Jeter is a solid SS also.

Cabrera > Jeter. Jeter has a slick glove and a decent arm, but he makes sweet diving catches that make ESPN highlights other SS's would make routinely by just jogging in front of.

However, his Hall of Fame bat makes up for any defensive deficiencies he has.

I don't get why they do the shift....then pitch them outside.

Uribe would've made that catch.

To be fair so does Cabrera usually. He got his glove on the ball, so it was an error. He should've had it and he knows it.

WHOOOP WHOOOOP!

TED WILLIAMS STORY ALERT!!!!11!11

so far so good!

Wow.

Was just checking to see where Cabrera is in defensive stats. Julio Lugo has made 6 errors already this year.

Trying for the jinx?

WTF is Vazquez doing? Jesus.

This is looking bad as of now.

Javy not getting out ahead of hitters in the 2nd. Although that bullet right back to him was just kind of bad luck.

Bases clearing double is the weird feeling I have right now.......

Javy falling in love with offspeed pitches, thats not what you do Vasquez.....c'mon...

This is incredible.

Our pitching staff has had trouble getting that 3rd out of the inning in the last week.

javy is getting tons of movement on that 2 seamer...tough luck right there

Great....pussified pitching gives them a run

:(

this s*** always seems to happen against ny

I'm so happy we lost that game yesterday so we could beat the Yankees today with our ace pitcher against their 5th starter.
