Could you have thrown a worse pitch to a guy with 2 outs, nobody on first and the RISP standing on 3rd base? Why didn't they go with the offspeed out of the strikezone and see if he'd chase it? Now they're IBB Cuddyer to get to JASON KUBEL, are you serious? Why not put Morneau on to get to a hitter that's less capable than Kubel, Cuddyer? Terrible managing.

I think what you just witnessed there is a hitter taking what he is thrown and doing something with it in the clutch. Something our guys have not been doing

and on the other side...it's a shorter throw for the catcher If I really want that run....Id much rather the guy steal second and have him bunted to third.

 

Make that throw with the guy running his ass off, and the guy in the right handed batters box is 6'3 and 235. He might be a distraction to you.
