May 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 13, 2008 -> 05:32 PM) Posts in game threads. Its like having a hundred drama queen girlfriends fret over a broken nail. Yes, but replace "in game threads." with "."
May 14, 200817 yr Author Paranoia? I started the thread for the exact reason you see in post #1. There are a bunch of topics everyone is sick of, but we keep going back to them. Maybe if we all agree, we can simmer the stove, and move on to something else. And yes, there is also a big picture. Some damn good posters VOLUNTARILY have stopped posting and when we ask why, we here it is all the negativity and beat to death topics. So as Mods, we will continue to try and build a site that works for the majority of people. As a personal note, we have unlimited space so it seems there should be room for everyone. But sometimes it would be nice to tell people to go to their rooms and quit pissing off their brother.
May 14, 200817 yr This is a forum dedicated to just White Sox baseball. How many different topics could there really be? The essence of the board is to beat a topic into the ground. Then of course there are the 25+page Catch-all threads that have the new stuff that is not deemed new thread worthy.
May 14, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (thedoctor @ May 14, 2008 -> 09:44 AM) i'm sick of talking about the white sox. oh, wait... We even have that covered. There is almost no subject we have not talked about in one of the forums or another.

May 14, 200817 yr Personally I think any topic can be beaten to the ground or a topic can turn into a thing of awesomeness. IT all depends on the posters and everyone doing there best to make sure that no matter what they say they try to add something to the conversation and bring more to the debate/thread. Just my 2 cents and I've been a negative nancy as of late but I still try my best to add something to the discussions or say something and I'm one who is always willing to admit whether I'm wrong and if I say something bad about the Sox I do nothing but hope to end up being right. Hell, at yesterdays game I popped my collar in the 9th inning and tried to create the rally collar. Obviously it didn't work.
May 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2008 -> 08:44 PM) I didn't see anything in the game thread that suggested someone was suspended. I don't think anyone was suspended from the game thread. I was at the game though.

I saw that picture and was like, wow, he kind of looks like me. I looked just as ridiculous with my popped collar too and it was all for nothing as Krod shut everyone but Quentin down

May 14, 200817 yr Nyyfans.com did something pretty unique for their Yankee forum. They let their threads live as long as someone bumps it, and they don't split it. Spme people were complaining about the monster threads, so they made a forum just for smaller tidbit threads like putting a slow catcher at the top of the lineup. http://forums.nyyfans.com/forumdisplay.php?f=127

May 14, 200817 yr That's one of the best sorted baseball boards I've seen. I also like how they seperate the off field stuff from what's currently going on with the team. Edited May 14, 200817 yr by santo=dorf
May 15, 200817 yr extremist posts...people need to be level headed and realize that the Sox aren't going to be destined for last place or the World Series after every loss or win.
