Official 2008-2009 NBA Thread

Yeah, my fault.

This is from Chad Ford in some blog.

That would make them serious players in the 2010 free-agent market for -- you guessed it -- Chris Bosh. A source close to Bosh told me this afternoon that Chicago would be his first choice as a free-agency destination that summer.

I've heard though that he loves Toronto.

;)

Isn't Bosh from Texas, and I think I read Dallas will be able to offer him a max deal in 2010 also?

Derrick Rose vs Chris Paul... That alone makes me want to see the game tonight.

Derrick Rose = No Show (at least his chin could touch the rim)

Total blowout though. The hornets made a run before halftime, then the bulls stepped on the gas to start the 3rd. Very cool to see. Now we will lose 3 out of our next 4.

Maybe not. It is march and we have players who have had a history of playing well in march........

Bulls Want To Resign Ben.

If there was ever a time when two sides would choose to go back in time to fix a failed negotiation, it's the Bulls and Ben Gordon.

The team's leading scorer will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and in control of his own destiny. If he signs with a new team, the Bulls will most likely get nothing in return.

Gordon is one of just seven NBA guards currently averaging 20 points while shooting better than 45 percent from the field. The others are Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Brandon Roy, Chris Paul, Michael Redd and Tony Parker.

At the same time, this is the wrong time to be shopping for a huge payday in the NBA or anywhere else. Most every team in the league is facing declining revenues and will be looking to cut costs.

Talk across the Bulls organization is that they definitely want to re-sign Gordon this summer and have been happy with his performance. But no one is sure whether it will happen, because the Bulls would almost certainly have to pay the NBA's luxury tax next season in order to keep him.

"People like to pick out Ben Gordon's flaws all the time, but the great majority of games I've coached against Ben, he has been tremendous," said a longtime NBA assistant coach. "I would agree that Ben is more valuable to the Bulls than most other teams."

One PG from this game talking about the other...

"He's a lot faster than me, a lot more explosive than me, and a lot more athletic than me, so it might be do I see myself in him?"

Cavs vs. Magic tonight.

With KG getting healthy, and the Pistons locked into the #6 seed, the Magic really need to do what they can to get that #2 seed.

I'm looking forward to watching the Bulls get skull-f***ed by Boston on WGN tonight.

I actually think the Bulls can pull it out tonight.

No, just being cynical, I forgot KG was out.

The Bulls have a nice winning streak at home (against some quality opponents too) Orl,NO,Hou,Den .

If the Bulls can stop Rondo from penetrating in the paint, they have a good chance of winning.

They need for Salmons to have a big defensive game on Pierce though.

John Salmons=Larry Hughes right guyz?!?1

It seems the Bulls are more likely to win vs a good team than they do vs a bad team. If it was the wizards/pacers tonight we lose no doubt :lolhitting

How did Salmons slip under the radar so long? That guy can fill it up, and he is pretty efficient

He's Ben Gordon + 6 inches.

Therefore, he plays better defense and can get more rebounds.

Anybody else expecting a Bulls loss tonight? Thats been their MO the past few weeks. Look great at home, beating all the top teams in the league, then head on the road, and get beat by lottery teams. I'm hoping they dont lose, but its just what they have been doing. I'm sure the 8-man rotation doesnt help the back-to back games either.
