Actually, right now he's the only backup infielder period.

 

Unfortunately, most teams don't have .350 hitters sitting on their bench. They have guys like Pablo, who aren't terrible at anything but sure aren't great at anything, filling in the gaps.

And Danks now likely on the hook for a loss.

ideally you have a bench guy who is above average at, at least one thing...like hitting for average against lefties, or above average defensively....
